Consumer expectations for the golf market, the existing golf market in New Brunswick and neighbouring provinces, and the competition faced by the province in regard to golf tourism are evaluated. The existing golf courses in the province are rated for their tourism potential and suggestions are made for improvements. Strategic directions are then proposed, including increasing market appeal, establishing clusters of golf destinations, co-operative efforts, special events, and developing golf trails. Potential economic benefits of implementing the proposed strategy are also discussed. The appendix includes golf market data and a list of New Brunswick golf courses.
