Book Alternative Oil Supply Infrastructures for the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic

Download or read book Alternative Oil Supply Infrastructures for the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic written by Tomáš Vlček and published by Masarykova univerzita. This book was released on 2016-01-01 with total page 207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Těchto možností je šest: ropovod Ingolstadt-Kralupy-Litvínov, ropovod Adria, potenciální ropovod Bratislava-Schwechat-Pipelie a ropovod Adria-Wien Pipeline, potenciální ropovod Oděsa-Brody-Adamowo-Płock-Gdaňsk, potenciální ropovod Spergau-Litvínov a vodní cesta Lobau-Bratislava. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují, že Česká a Slovenská republika mají společné zájmy v ropném sektoru, které mohou přetavit ve společný postup při jejich dosahování.

What happened to the descendants of other men who lived at the same time? And why, if modern humans share a single prehistoric ancestor, do we come in so many sizes, shapes, and races? Examining the hidden secrets of human evolution in our genetic code, Spencer Wells reveals how developments in the revolutionary science of population genetics have made it possible to create a family tree for the whole of humanity. Replete with marvelous anecdotes and remarkable information, from the truth about the real Adam and Eve to the way differing racial types emerged, The Journey of Man is an enthralling, epic tour through the history and development of early humankind.

Book The Role of Small States in the European Union

Download or read book The Role of Small States in the European Union written by Baldur Thorhallsson and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-03-02 with total page 247 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A fully documented text which addresses a key issue of EU decision-making which is surfacing again in proposed institutional reforms. It looks at the role of smaller states, deals with the important criteria of distribution and redistribution of EU budgetary expenditures in the key areas of agriculture and structural funds and explains how smaller states promote their interest more effectively than larger states. It focuses on the administrations of small states, their relations with the Commission and their negotiation tactics in the Council. This is the first attempt to empirically test Peter Katzenstein’s thesis on the role of smaller states in international relations by making important recommendations on how the core assumptions of Katzenstein need to be modified, especially when applied to the EU context. This work is a good supplementary text book for courses on European studies, comparative politics and international relations. It is particularly suitable for advanced undergraduates and graduate students.
