Book Long term Health Conditions

Download or read book Long term Health Conditions written by and published by . This book was released on 2003 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Long-term health conditions has been identified as a key area of interest among clients undertaking time-series analysis. This publication will provide users with a resource to assist in making NHS inter-survey comparability for long-term conditions across the 1989-90, 1995 and 2001 surveys. While the 2001 NHS is deliberately the same or similar in many ways to the 1995 NHS (and in part to the 1989-90 NHS), there are important differences in survey methodology and content, definitions, classification, etc. These differences will affect the degree to which data are directly comparable between the surveys, and hence the interpretation of apparent changes over the period from 1989-90 to 2001. This paper presents standardised rates for an extensive lost of long-term conditions, and describes the methodoloigcal approach used in each survey to 'capture' the data. Issues of coding and classification will also be addressed.
