Book excerpt: Nasir's Strings is a book for all ages. Helping kids with grooming and being aware of their surroundings. Turning an annoyance to some into a learning tool for all, that's the goal of this nonfiction story in which my son had issues with and still does until this day. I don't know if his strings are not tied tight enough or they just aren't made as strong as they once were. Whatever the case it happens with a lot of people , so I thought I'd write about it, even saw a very mature man with one shoe untied, I started to say "your shoe's untied sir", and here is a book! ( Even though the book wasn’t available at the time ). I say all that to say, people of all ages have issues with strings and other things in life, but if we are aware of what’s going on, only then can we change it .

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My Different Shades of Black- The Beginning is the introduction of a three-part fictional trilogy. It sets an extensive foundation for an astonishing adventure. As readers journey through this fantastic voyage, they learn early on that this story has several dimensions. The book is about an African princess named Anyalla who travels through time. Leaping from one body to the next, she experiences life from a remarkable lens. At a very tender age and learning on the go. She becomes a student in the school of life. Her first leap almost kills her, but her last leap became the most historical event of the century. As a former president of the United States, Anyalla Kaiko Mugabe tells the story of her triumphant years. How an ancient tribal princess from Zimbabwe transforms into the first female black president of the United States. The Queen of the south gave up her thrown and went on to become one of the most influential women that ever lived. Her eight-year reign as president was not only a monumental elevation for mankind, but the decisions that she makes in this significant place of power changed the entire world as we know it. The missing key is only revealed in book three (My different Shades of Black-The Color of Purpose). However, book one sets the tone for an unbelievable and extraordinary ride. Due to her humble beginnings as a warrior princess, her innate ability to fight for what is right surfaced every time she was faced with adversity. She never gave up on life, love, or people. Overcoming trauma became her strong suit, and God gave her the strength she needed to keep going when times got hard. As she repeatedly discovers that love is truly the cure for all things, her superpowers are distinctively revealed over time. Embracing the spiritual aspects made each voyage unique with breath taking pivotal moments. My Different Shades of Black-True Colors (Book #2) Coming soon.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With an alchemical verve, educators have been shaping the very direction of students' lives since time immemorial. With millions of teachers currently serving in the Tk-12 sector and millions more serving in higher education spaces, the need for quality educator development is essential. For Tk-12 educators, while there are teacher preparation programs to help shape their teacher identities, the challenge of neatly integrating all the rich content provided into a set of actions is considerable. For college educators writ large, there is no conspicuous preparation for teaching, leaving many to flounder early in their careers. In addition, homeschooled students, whose population has nearly doubled in recent years, also need and deserve access to professional training. While chiefly focused on Tk-12 educators, The Alchemy of Teaching supplies support for educators in all sectors and covers an array of topics germane to educators everywhere. Accordingly, this work draws on the early notions of alchemy, which is the art of transforming mundane metals into gold, to develop a template for educators to succeed while infusing essential, hard-earned wisdom along the way. Using the metals of alchemy as metaphors, the effective elements of teaching are parsed out in commonsensical and pragmatic ways, designed to give all those who educate students a template for strengthening their practice and the learning outcomes of their students. Written by highly experienced educators, this book is made up of three sections, with each detailing some of the prominent struggles educators regularly have in particular areas. Each author also elucidates the gold practices and provides techniques for avoiding some of the early pitfalls often experienced by educators. Each chapter of this book is dedicated to the practice of changing or transforming educator practices. It is a valuable tool for educators across the teaching spectrum to bring greater hope and success to their classrooms. Perfect for courses such as: Teacher Education; Classroom Management; Teacher Education; Education Psychology; Teacher Education; Social Justice; Foundational Courses in Teacher Education; Courses in Differentiation Methods Courses in Mathematics

Book Gang Wars of the North The Inside Story of the Deadly Battle Between Viv Graham and Lee Duffy

This book was released on 2011-06-06 with total page 187 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With a frightening capacity for extreme violence, Tyneside protection hardman Viv Graham struck fear into the hearts of his enemies, yet his benevolence to local charities and schemes to keep kids away from drugs and crime was well known. A legend in his own lifetime, he was the ultimate maverick troubleshooter whose size and ability to fight enabled him to live just as he wishes, never forgetting the deprived community he came from, who in times of need, considered him the fourth emergency service. Teeside drugs enforcer Lee Duffy had half his foot shot off in an assassination attempt and his skull beaten with a crowbar, yet his streetwise instinct remained unmatched. Proud to be known as Viv's arch enemy, Lee was feared and respected in equal measure and wanted to get out of the game for the sake of his family, but was so deeply involved that there was only one way he would ever leave...With unprecedented access to friends, family members and associates, Stephen Richards dispels many of the myths surrounding these legendary figures to create the ultimate biography of Britain's deadliest rivals.

Book Catalytic Oxidation Reagents

Download or read book Catalytic Oxidation Reagents written by Philip L. Fuchs and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2013-07-29 with total page 2037 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Handbook is part of the Handbook of Reagents for Organic Chemistry series, aiming at collecting articles on a particular theme that individual researchers in academia or industry can use on a daily basis. The Handbook starts with a section discussing the most important aspects of heteroarene functionalization. The introduction is followed by the alphabetical listing of the most relevant reagents drawn from the EROS database. The Editor, André Charette from the University of Montreal, has selected 120 reagent descriptions, many of them updated with heteroarene-specific reactions for this Handbook. Following the standard format for EROS, each article contains an overview of the synthesis and physical properties of the reagents or catalyst, conditions for its storage, and purification methods. Given the importance of heteroarenes in biology and especially in medicinal chemistry, a Handbook that focuses exclusively on heteroarene functionalization has been long overdue. This Handbook will have a broad appeal to many individuals engaged in the area of medicinal chemistry, fine chemical synthesis and industrial-scale chemistry. Key features: Builds on the success of the previously published Handbooks of Reagents for Organic Synthesis Compares the numerous new C-H functionalization reactions that have been developed in the past decade Heteroarene functionalization is widely used in the development of pharmaceuticals and other bioactive compounds Contains listings of secondary reagents for which more information is available in the online edition
