Book Mystery Babylon The Religion of the Beast

Download or read book Mystery Babylon The Religion of the Beast written by Paul Sides and published by Rav Sha'ul. This book was released on 2015-01-01 with total page 98 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the second book of the Original Revelation Series: Mystery Babylon – The Religion of the Beast, we are going to define how sun worship (that originated with the Sumerian Culture some 5,000 years ago) was organized later into a World Religion in Babylon. This religion evolved complete with a well defined Godhead, a day of worship, holy days, a Christ, and sacrifices. This religion, The Mystery Religion of Babylon, is the false religion identified in Scripture. It was this first world religion that was scattered among all nations and cultures at The Tower of Babel when Yahuah confused the languages. We can trace through time and cultures the progression of this religion as humanity flourished on Earth to the present day. Before we can identify what religion today is The Mystery Religion of Babylon, we must first clearly define this world religion as it existed in ancient Babylon. Only then can we compare the religions of today to find an exact match. Then we must compare this false religion to the “Faith” described in The Bible and identify The Truth. That is the purpose of my book series The Original Revelation. Throughout this book series, we carefully examine the evolution of history as man has built upon the corrupted version of the message written in the stars.

Download or read book Babylon Religion written by David W. Daniels and published by Chick Publications. This book was released on 2011 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a history of goddess-worship. Written like a graphic novel, this well-researched book shows how goddess worship "morphed" through the centuries until it climaxed in its present most common form: the worship of the Virgin Mary. In different cultures, the names were different, but the goddess was the same. She was the Queen of Heaven, the mother of the god. She became the Mediatrix through whom all must go to reach their god.Author David Daniels is a stickler for research, so no one will be surprised to find a 30-page section of End Notes, as well as annotated bibliography. You can check out his facts for yourself! It's a heavy subject, but the illustrations by Jack T Chick help to make the story flow, and a lot easier for the casual reader to understand.

Book The Last Mystery in the Bible

Download or read book The Last Mystery in the Bible written by William E Simmons and published by Thunderword. This book was released on 2020-04-20 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The word "mystery" last appears in the Bible in Revelation 17:7. Both the beast with seven heads and (the harlot) Mystery Babylon are referred to as a mystery. The heads are described as seven mountains and seven kings. We are told the harlot sits upon the seven mountains. For centuries Christians have debated the meaning of the seven mountains where the harlot sits. These mountains are associated with great blasphemy and the rule over all the kingdoms of the world. What no one has done is to show that there is a distinct group of seven mountains in the Bible that holds the answer to the seven mountains of Revelation 17. The purpose of this book is to show that there is a distinct group of seven mountains revealed in the Bible by the revelator of the mysteries of God. The Bible reveals that seven successive kingdoms/empires rule over these mountains throughout history. These mountains are associated with the rule over all kingdoms and all upon the earth and in heaven. Scripture is the best interpreter of Scripture. The Word of God is silent about the Seven Hills of Rome. Revelation speaks of seven mountains, not hills. The Greek word oros is translated as mountain throughout the book of Revelation. Neither Rome nor the site of the ancient city of Babylon is associated with seven mountains.Throughout the Bible and across the ages, the mountains of Israel have witnessed the conflicts between God's people and their enemies. These were the sites where the Son of God confronted and defeated Satan and his demons. They are the focus of the world today. In the future, the whole world will again be fixated on these biblical heights. The final conflict at the end of this age will take place amid the mounts of Israel.

Book The Mystery of the Hanging Garden of Babylon

Download or read book The Mystery of the Hanging Garden of Babylon written by Stephanie Dalley and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2013-05-23 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Mystery of the Hanging Garden of Babylon is an exciting story of detection involving legends, expert decipherment of ancient texts, and a vivid description of a little-known civilization. Recognised in ancient times as one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the legendary Hanging Garden of Babylon and its location still remains a mystery steeped in shadow and puzzling myths. In this remarkable volume Stephanie Dalley, a world expert on ancient Babylonian language, gathers for the first time all the material on this enigmatic World Wonder. Tracing the history of the Garden, Dalley describes how the decipherment of an original text and its link to sculpture in the British Museum has enabled her to pin down where the Garden was positioned and to describe in detail what it may have looked like. Through this dramatic and fascinating reconstruction of the Garden, Dalley is also able to follow its influence on later garden design. Like a palimpsest, Dalley unscrambles the many legends that have built up around the Garden, including the parts played by Semiramis and Nebuchadnezzar, and following the evolution of its design, she shows why this Garden deserves its place alongside the Pyramids and the Colossus of Rhodes as one of the most astonishing technical achievements of the ancient world.

Book excerpt: Another brilliant and out-of-the-ordinary murder mystery by the author ofYear of the Hyenas, with an unusual and interesting detective, this time trying to pursue and rescue his own ex-wife, sold into slavery in the city of Babylon (in modern times, near Baghdad) at a time of violence and great danger, much like today.Day of the False Kingcontinues the story of Semerket, Egypt's Clerk of Investigations and Secrets. The time is approximately 1150 B.C., and the conspirators who plotted the overthrow of Pharaoh Ramses III have been tried and executed. But the old pharaoh has succumbed to the wounds inflicted by his Theban wife, Queen Tiya; it is his first-born son who now rules Egypt as his chosen successor, Ramses IV.Geographically placed at the center of the Old World, where East literally meets West, Babylon has forever been the crossroads for conquering armies and adventuresome merchants, and the prize of dynasts. From cruel tyrants to far-seeing visionaries, an ever-changing set of rulers have claimed Babylon's throne as their own. But they were not god-kings as in Egypt; in fact, there was no term for "king" in any of the Babylonian languages. Instead, they were called simply "Strong Man" or "Big Man." Then as now, only martial strength determined who ruled. Strangely, or perhaps inevitably, the rights of the individual were first codified and set down as laws here.Around the time thatDay of the False Kingtakes place, the Middle East is undergoing -- just as it is today -- a tortuous, protracted transformation. The old regimes have vanished, setting the stage for the aggressive emergence of the new nations of Phoenicia, Israel, and Philistia; it is the fourth of these new peoples, the Assyrians, who will achieve dominance in the years ahead.Babylonia in particular has suffered a series of cataclysms. The old Kassite Dynasty, themselves invaders from the north, has been toppled. The nation of Elam (soon to be known as Persia) has launched a massive war to conquer Babylonia from the southeast. Native tribes in the country also see this moment as their own chance to evict the foreigners and re-establish a dynasty of their own.Into this roiling alchemy, Semerket's adored ex-wife, Naia, is thrust. She and Rami, the tomb-maker's son, have been banished to Babylon as indentured servants -- punishment for their accidental roles in the Harem Conspiracy against Ramses III.As inYear of the Hyenas, most of the events and characters inDay of the False Kingare drawn from history. The Elamite invader King Kutir and the native-born Marduk truly vied for the throne of Babylonia. There really was a festival calledDay of the False King, when the entire world turned upside down for a day, when slaves ruled as masters, when the most foolish man in Babylon was chosen to become king. Semerket the detective is plunged into the midst of these events in pursuit of his own goals: to serve his Pharaoh and to find the woman he loves.

Book excerpt: The foremost historian of Greek religion provides the first comprehensive, comparative study of a little-known aspect of ancient religious beliefs and practices. Secret mystery cults flourished within the larger culture of the public religion of Greece and Rome for roughly a thousand years. This book is neither a history nor a survey but a comparative phenomenology, concentrating on five major cults. In defining the mysteries and describing their rituals, membership, organization, and dissemination, Walter Burkert displays the remarkable erudition we have come to expect of him; he also shows great sensitivity and sympathy in interpreting the experiences and motivations of the devotees.
