It is a story of a small town boy and his predicaments that his life had offered. As the story progresses with a tint of sorrow, despair and desperation through the boy’s life, the other end of the story starts to unfold and the horizon of his life starts to glow apart. The story begins in the small town but did not end there. Life had different plans for him and without any clue; he flew to Paris, France. The least did he know that a retrospection was waiting for him at a strange city far from his lands. Natasha had been an integral part of Armaan’s life when they were in the same college few years ago. Natasha had left him and had flown to Istanbul, Turkey to groom her career. A xing happened once again when these two confronted and decided to spend some time together while on the trip. Natasha then realized, what had she left in India and this feeling of guilt shrunk her to her core and she could not resist herself to fall once again for the guy. But a fear was churning deep within her heart as she was officially in a relationship with his boss-at-work Vikram. She knew she was no more than a puppet for him but she was stuck in his obligations. That was the time when she knew that Vikram has some connection with Anti-national groups and she decided to leave him and come back to Armaan. Vikram got to know about all these and threatened Natasha to kill Armaan but she knew she can’t do this. Furious by Natasha’s callings, Vikram decided to take the action that broke Natasha once again and Armaan ended up at the hospital bed.

Gina works as a waitress in an expensive restaurant at night and studies in the morning. Ace is the man she secretly loves and her co-worker as a waiter, he did nothing but tease her. Unexpectedly, Ace suddenly proposed marriage to her, even though he wasn't courting her. But Ace Durant's unromantic words were hardly the proposal of her dreams. Gina decided to take Ace's offer, but she had also a proposal on her own. Never had such words affected the cold-hearted Ace. The undercover agent who pretended to be a waiter had told her that the only reason he would marry her was to protect her as if Gina's world collapsed when she heard that. But he was finding it increasingly difficult to keep their temporary marriage strictly in name only. Can Ace avoid Gina's venom and her seduction of him?

Book A Giant Tree has Fallen

Download or read book A Giant Tree has Fallen written by Seifudein Adem and published by African Books Collective. This book was released on 2016-09-01 with total page 554 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book memorialising the life and work of Ali Alamin Mazrui comprises more than 130 tributes written by people ranging from heads of state to journalists. Presented here are those tributes for which copyright permissions were received from among the hundreds that appeared online and print. In preparing this book, it was made very clear that, unlike other books of tributes to great men and women, there would be no segmentation of the sections based on writers and speakers positions in life. Instead, it was decided that the tributes be presented in alphabetical order based on writers and speakers last names. The decision hinged on the fact that Mazur would not have apposed any segmentation of people by class, race, ethnicity and gender etc. Nonetheless, out of great respect for Mazurs immediate family members, their tributes are presented first, followed by those from his global family members. Also included at the beginning of the book are three chapters that comprise an introductory essay, a brief biography of Mazur, and an essay on metaphorical-linguistic analysis of the tributes that follow. The book also has a preface by the coeditors and a forward by Salim Ahmed Salim, the former Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania and Secretary-General of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), now known as the Africa Union. Dr. Salim, who served as the Secretary-General of the OAU from 1989 to 2001, was Mazuris friend and contemporary. Mazruri once described Salim as Mr Africa and the first real postcolonial Secretary-General of the OAU.

Islamic laws in Iran forbade them from sharing their Christian beliefs, but in three years, they’d covertly put New Testaments into the hands of twenty thousand of their countrymen and started two secret house churches. In 2009, they were finally arrested and held in the notorious Evin Prison in Tehran, a place where inmates are routinely tortured and executions are commonplace. In the face of ruthless interrogations, persecution, and a death sentence, Maryam and Marziyeh chose to take the radical—and dangerous—step of sharing their faith inside the very walls of the government stronghold that was meant to silence them. In Captive in Iran, two courageous Iranian women recount how God used their 259 days in Evin Prison to shine His light into one of the world’s darkest places, giving hope to those who had lost everything and showing love to those in despair.

Book The Greatest Love Story Never Told

Download or read book The Greatest Love Story Never Told written by Richard Orion and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2015-10-30 with total page 488 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This story is based on a true love story that spanned almost two decades. The names and places have been changed to protect the privacy of the individuals involved in this affair. The chronological sequence of events has been maintained for continuity. All the stories and experiences are based on facts. This book is about a love story that was kept secret for 18 years and perhaps shouldve remained a secret. The first book related to this love story was a book of poems entitled Somewhere, Sometime, Somehow: Love Poems and Short Stories published in 2008 by this author and Xlibris. For the perceptive reader of this book one can trace the ups and downs of our love relationship. These 18 years were filled with robust love and passion for each other. Perhaps it was fantasy; perhaps it was the most real thing we will ever experience. The heartbreaking part of this love affair is that I am not really sure my lover ever really understood or appreciated my profound and unconditional love for her. I opened my heart to her through poetry and thoughtful letters, but she rarely showed me what was in her heart. Perhaps it was a one-sided love affair, but I surely think and hope not. I was convinced that she truly loved me through her words and actions. At least I experienced a pure love that I had only dreamed was possible. The story is told mainly through the exchange of letters and emails to each other. Perhaps readers can experience and hopefully feel the deep love we felt for each other.

Book The Paradox es of Diasporic Identity Race and Belonging

Download or read book The Paradox es of Diasporic Identity Race and Belonging written by Benjamin Maiangwa and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-10-22 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores how questions about home and belonging have been framed in the discourses on race, migration, and social relationships. It does this with the aim of envisioning alternative modes of living and reimagining our political communities in ways that question the legacy of colonization and constructed identities which detract from our sense of obligation to each other and the planet. The book questions problematic categories of difference to transform human relations beyond the materialism of our global political economy. Questions addressed in the volume include: In what ways are combative colonial identities of difference manufactured within our national and global spaces of encounter? How can we expel the racialized and tribalized political identities that seek to purify and deny the complexities and sacredness of being human? How do we embrace the notion that everyone we encounter is a mirror reflecting our fears of suffering and our desires for happiness? The book is set in the context of re-emerging ultra-nationalists and anti-migrant politicians on the national and international stage, advancing various strands of extreme-right and protectionist ideology couched as redemptive-welfarist strategies. The adverse impacts of these strategies seem to be reifying a possessive idea of citizenship and identity, engendering a national fantasy that portrays communities as homogenous entities inhabiting enclosed borders. This is essentially a compendium of conversations across the intersection of the racial, national, ethnic, spiritual, and sexual boundaries in which we live.
