Book excerpt: Marks story begins several years back when he ventured to a foreign country for unique career-building experiences. It is there he eventually met more and more like-minded individuals and someone who appeared extra special. This same-aged woman was on her game as she presented a convincing picture of virtue. Mark had no idea that he was about to become quite the victim of a high-functioning, proactively religious psychopath. Mark beautifully illustrated how counterintuitive his experiences with a psychopath were and goes in great depth to show how these abuser victim roles play out in real life encounters. This is interesting information that is often not included in other books on the same subject matter. In sharing how he figured his way through his extended encounter with a primary psychopath, he seeks to spread awareness which will help members of our global society identify psychopaths before they cause their applicable levels of damage. Join the author to educate yourself on the increasingly trending topic of psychopathy. There are many things Mark assists you in taking away from encounters with psychopaths and their influence on the world around us. Psychopathy is certainly a topic worth getting a grasp over. Look into this critically constructed book and youll be happy you did!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This story speaks of a man on a journey, thinking he is in control of his life. Not knowing what the Lord had in store for him but having a gut feeling within that something was about to happen, Briant felt that his life was going to take a turn for the worse, and it terrified him to no end. He would later come to realize that in order for transformation to take place in his life, he would have to go through some trials. He didn't want to change. He thought he was fine. Briant had to hit rock bottom and go through some real hard times and come to realize that it was the Lord who allowed all that he was going through. He was stripped down by God and lost everything, and God then had Briant's undivided attention. For when he committed his life to the Lord after being spiritually broken with no one to turn to, he was forever changed from the inside out. His testimony will inspire you to keep on moving forward in the midst of whatever you're faced with, for the Lord truly has a plan for all our lives. This is a true story of love, pain, suffering, loss, joy, and the awesome power of God showing up in the midst of everything that Briant faces. You will be inspired as you read, laugh, and shed some tears along the way. Briant was genuinely inspired by God Almighty to write this firsthand account happening in his life to tell what God did for him and how he brought him through it all. You are about to go on a journey. You will be deeply inspired to never give up and to keep the faith and know that the Lord is watching over his Word for your life to perform it. And know the Lord is going to do just that.

Some of them were easy enough and others not quite so easy, in fact quite challenging, but it gave me a real focus for the whole year. Book Dominatrix on Trial

Download or read book Dominatrix on Trial written by Terri-Jean Bedford and published by Riverdale Avenue Books LLC. This book was released on 2022-04-26 with total page 163 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Terri-Jean Bedford was one of Canada's most notorious citizens--but few know her under that name. As Madame deSade, however, she was Canada's most famous leather-clad dominatrix, a well-known public figure appearing on the evening news as she took on the Canadian legal establishment to ultimately change sex worker law throughout the country. Born into abject poverty, this bi-racial girl was placed into a foster home at six, where she was abused. She was later moved into various children’s homes and lived there until she was 16, when she left to make it on her own. She survived by working numerous unskilled jobs, until she entered the world of prostitution. Her talents and interests helped her move into the elite world of the professional dominatrix, after which life was never the same. Located just outside of Toronto, her elaborate Bondage Bungalow became the target of a spectacular raid. Six highly publicized years of trials and appeals later, she was convicted under bawdy-house laws and paid a small fine. In 1999, she opened a similar facility in downtown Toronto, one that closed without police interference in 2002. A few years later she was at the center of Bedford vs. Canada, a five-year constitutional challenge to Canada’s sex trade laws. The Supreme Court vindicated her struggles. A mother and grandmother, she still advocates and writes for sex worker rights. Despite her at times heart-breaking story and declining health, she says she is going out a winner. She remains a vocal advocate for civil rights and the disenfranchised. She has been a plaintiff in a major constitutional challenge, and, as a result, Canada's prostitution laws were struck down in 2010. A play based on her life story is currently in production in Windsor, Canada in 2022.

Book Everything in Its Place

Download or read book Everything in Its Place written by Marc Summers and published by Tarcher. This book was released on 2000-10-02 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the time he was in the first grade, Marc Summers feared that if his bedroom wasn't perfectly neat and his shirts didn't hang exactly one-fourth of an inch apart in the closet, something terrible would befall his parents or himself. It wasn't until many years later that the source of his anxiety became clear: like an estimated 6 million Americans today, Summers suffers the effects of obsessive compulsive disorder. A frank and often hilarious narrative, Everything in Its Place tells the story of Summers's journey from compulsive room cleaner to family man, television celebrity, and Obsessive Compulsive Foundation spokesperson. Describing his struggle to maintain personal relationships and build a career, the ups and downs of being on medication, and what it's like to be compelled to straighten the fringes of a rug at two o'clock in the morning, here is a compellingly readable and ultimately uplifting memoir.
