This book was written for anyone with doubts or disbelief in the power of prayer or the existence of God. The author uses actual ancestors and loved ones as role models for the Angels she believes are real. Historical events and facts are based on actual records and research, but literary license was incorporated to turn once living humans into modern-day Angels. Are they real? What about Demons? In this book of good versus evil, the sisters work to prove the existence of Angels while Demons try to stop them. Who will win this battle for souls? Do ancestors play a role in the choices made by future generations? In this current age of racial, sexual, political, and religious conflict and tension, are we really all so different? Or is something else pulling our strings? About the Author Debra Ann Ristau is a historian who believes nonfiction be truthful and fiction should inspire, intrigue, and entertain. She hopes Fate of the Sisters does all three. After decades of writing nonfiction, she is thrilled to offer this book as the first of an exciting series that features Warrior Guardian Angels protecting us from evil. Book excerpt: This book and my research is about uncovering the many, many injustices of the American government and the American people against black people over the last five hundred years in America. I will show and also prove the absolute diabolism being applied throughout history against the masses of black people to keep us in a submissive role in this American society. Through history, I have assembled undisputed facts of this American conspiracy to destroy black people as America present their version of black people. As black people aEUR" not African Americans, but black people aEUR" we have the right to be our own selves. We have the right to choose for ourselves. We have a right to reject the lies and atrocities that America tells and have committedaEUR"and are still committing. We have the right to have the true history, not this distorted American history. It is our right to be free of everything America does; we have nothing to gain. I'm telling the truth that the majority of civilization is trying to hide but can no longer hide. Read, everyone, this is the absolute truth.

Book American Possessions

  • Author : Sean McCloud
  • Publisher : Oxford University Press

Download or read book American Possessions written by Sean McCloud and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2015-04-21 with total page 191 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Stories of contemporary exorcisms are largely met with ridicule, or even hostility. Sean McCloud argues, however, that there are important themes to consider within these narratives of seemingly well-adjusted people who attend school, go shopping, watch movies, and also happen to fight demons. American Possessions examines Third Wave spiritual warfare, a late twentieth-, early twenty-first century movement of evangelicals focused on banishing demons from human bodies, material objects, land, regions, political parties, and nation states. While Third Wave beliefs may seem far removed from what many scholars view as mainstream religious practice, McCloud argues that the movement provides an ideal case study for identifying some of the most prominent tropes within the contemporary American religious landscape. Drawing on interviews, television shows, documentaries, websites, and dozens of spiritual warfare handbooks, McCloud examines Third Wave practices such deliverance rituals (a uniquely Protestant form of exorcism), spiritual housekeeping (the removal of demons from everyday objects), and spiritual mapping (searching for the demonic in the physical landscape). Demons, he shows, are the central fact of life in the Third Wave imagination. McCloud provides the first book-length study of this influential movement, highlighting the important ways that it reflects and diverts from the larger, neo-liberal culture from which it originates.
