Book excerpt: This thirty year study of the Tabernacle of Moses, took me into the life of Jesus Christ. I began to see the parallel of the salvation plan along with the tabernacle of Moses come together. I saw where Noah was told by God to build the ark. He was given the measurements and what type of wood to use. This was not random; it was all in the plan of God. Then, he told Jochebed, Moses' mother to make an ark and to lay her son, Moses in the Ark. Then Jesus is the Ark or the Ark of Safety. In the tabernacle of Moses, you will see the cross, the salvation plan, how everything has a meaning and a plan.

Book The Son of Man Debate

    Book Details:
  • Author : Delbert Burkett
  • Publisher : Cambridge University Press
  • Release : 2000-01-13
  • ISBN : 1139429809
  • Pages : 192 pages

Download or read book The Son of Man Debate written by Delbert Burkett and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2000-01-13 with total page 192 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The expression 'Son of Man', used in the Gospels almost exclusively by Jesus, has been the object of intensive study since the Protestant Reformation, yet scholars have come to no agreement on its origin or meaning. Research in this area has been described as 'a veritable mine field' and 'a can of worms'. Because of the scope and complexity of the literature, no comprehensive survey of the subject has been written in the twentieth century. Delbert Burkett's book fills this need. It provides a comprehensive historical overview of the debate from the patristic period to 1996, and gives an evaluation of that research and a summation of the present state of the question. Burkett concludes that despite nineteen centuries of 'Son of Man' study there is no consensus concerning the meaning or origin of the expression; the debate is therefore a prime example of the limits of New Testament scholarship.

Book excerpt: THE STORY OF MOSES ABRAHAM, a descendant of Shem, one of the sons of Noah, was the father and founder of the great Israelitish, or Hebrew, nation. God chose him from all the people living on the earth at that time, for this purpose, promising that He would make his name great and that his descendants should have for their own the land of Canaan, a country in Palestine lying west of the river Jordan and the Dead Sea. Abraham had a son named Isaac, who became the father of Jacob, and Jacob was the father of twelve sons, among whom was Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his brothers when but a boy. Joseph was taken to Egypt and in time rose from a slave to be the governor of that country under Pharaoh, its king.

Book excerpt: Moses was, according to the Hebrew Bible and Qur'an, a religious leader, lawgiver and prophet, to whom the authorship of the Torah is traditionally attributed. The Adopted Son, The Story of Moses follows the life of Moses in a manor tailored to the young reader. The day approached when, according to the Egyptian astrologers, the liberator of the children of Israel was to be born. Since they did not know whether he would be of Jewish or Egyptian descent, all male children born that day, were to be thrown into the water by order of King Pharaoh. It was Amram's youngest son Moses who was destined to lead the children of Israel from Egypt and to receive for them the Holy Torah on Mount Sinai. This is an excellent short volume on Moses for your child to read or for you to read to them.

Book Zipporah Moses s Ethiopian Wife Saves His Life

Download or read book Zipporah Moses s Ethiopian Wife Saves His Life written by Dr. Lawrence E. Henry and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-03-08 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, we will discover how Zipporah (Moses’s wife) saved Moses’s life from a certain death and ensured he carried out the commission given him by God. Next to Mary (Jesus’s mother), Zipporah was arguably one of the most important women in the Bible as will be revealed in chapter 2. “Bizarre” is typical of how biblical scholars describe the tale of Zipporah and her husband, Moses, especially the section in which God planned to kill Moses and Zipporah uses a blood ritual to successfully defend her husband and son. For mystery, mayhem, and sheer baffling weirdness, nothing else in the Bible quite compares with the story of Zipporah and the “bridegroom of blood.”
