Download or read book Moraya written by Shivangi Singh & Rahul Kale and published by Rahul Kale. This book was released on 2018-11-18 with total page 129 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A collection of theological tales anchored upon the verses of Ganapati AtharvaShirsha Upanishad, an esoteric rendition that resonates with the entity that is the fulcrum of wisdom and the lord of beginnings. The Upanishad also states that Ganapati materialised prior to Prakriti and Purusha; inferred as Sati & Shiva. That he is eternal and continues to hold the universe after Shiva's dance of mahapralaya; the ultimate dissolution that inevitably follows creation and is the withdrawal of all matter from its manifest state to non-manifest state. Thus, the hindu belief that a prayer to Ganapati is a prerequisite for the success of any task. Considering an ancient story in which Ganapati is the mind-born child of Uma and in another instance, of Shiva, it is an inherrent understanding that although he appeared to Uma as her son, the element had manifested itself of its own will to help Prakriti in the matters of creation, for dissolution next and so on. The garbs he wears are multiple and most entirely beyond our conception.

Book excerpt: Synopsis High School Memoirs: A Journey in Surrealism is a tear-jerking, hilarious ride for a less-than-ordinary High School student who battles bullies and librarians to become King of the Classroom. Set in a small Catholic High School on the north side of Chicago, author Sean Cusack takes us on a surrealistic journey through four fun-filled years of triumph and tragedy in this unique epic. The journey begins with Sean Cusack entering St. Bernadin High School in August of 1995 as a very young and innocent Freshman student. He focuses on several life changing experiences in his infant days of High School that change him forever. Innocence Lost traces the steps Sean Cusack took that ultimately lead him on a path toward frequent battles with students and the school faculty and Administration. As a Sophomore, The Ride most certainly takes us on a ride through fights, vandalism, and verbal debacles that continued to steer the vengeful ship that Sean Cusack had been building since a Freshman. He now had become the ships Captain as it set sail. The Ride takes us through many strange and mysterious encounters that add more of a surrealist element to this budding melodrama and comedic satire. Sean Cusacks roses bud Junior Year in Forever Remembered, when he becomes a charismatic hero and leader of a rebellious group of students that pillage and plunder the school and faculty in wild and zany antics. Forever Remembered embodies the humorous and more imaginative side of Sean Cusack as the journey through High School becomes more surreal. Senior Year wraps up the trials and tribulations that Sean Cusack had endured thus far in his High School experience culminating into one person after years of battling the Defunct Administration. He is molded by evil as the rebellious youth becomes totally hellbent on crippling the school. In the end, he loses friends, respect from teachers, but most of all, he loses faith in his cause, yet ends his High School experience with a fantastical and triumphant bow. Sean Cusack proves that not all High School stories are the same in this turbulent and chaotic autobiography. High School Memoirs: A Journey in Surrealism chronicles a strange and unique history that is truly a step above the rest.
Download or read book From My Soul Desde mi alma written by Alonso A. Abugattas and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-09-09 with total page 591 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Alonso Abugattas is more than a fanatical hunter, fisherman, shooter, and mountain climber. The author also possesses a deep, compulsive, and infectious love of the natural world. His writing evokes the pleasures of hunting, fishing, and shooting, as well as the perils of mountain climbing in the Andes during the 1960s. The stories in his book range from vivid eyewitness narratives that involve adventure, travel, personal struggle, and disregard for safety, to Peruvian history, customs, and geography, as well as discussions on ancient Inca civilization. The book is a mesmerizing blend of mountaineering adventure and high-altitude archeological exploration that describes active volcanoes, grave robbers, and Inca mummies. The book recounts the recovery of a mystery woman, presumed dead since 1945, whose body remained undisturbed near the summit of the Misti volcano until the author, with a team of civilians and Peruvian police, discovered her remains in 1965. It was a stunning recovery that made local and national headlines, but it was just the beginning of this intriguing find that for more than fifty years has continued to haunt the author. His vivid eyewitness accounts include a harrowing encounter of an avalanche on Ampato mountain, snow blindness on Coropuna mountain, eruption of the Ubinas Volcano, and his experience with an inexplicable phenomenon in Mauca Arequipa. In this firsthand account, the author chronicles his excitement, obsession, anxiety, and exhilaration as he prepares for and participates in world-class shooting tournaments in Europe and South America. A riveting account documents all the famous high achievers in the shooting world that he was lucky to meet during his quest to find hunting, fishing, and shooting heaven.

Download or read book Masters of the Living Energy written by Joan Parisi Wilcox and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2004-07-12 with total page 447 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An intimate glimpse into the world of ancient Peruvian spiritual practice and cosmology • Reveals the mysteries of the world of living energy (kawsay pacha) through intensive in-depth interviews with six Q’ero mystics • Explores the energetics, spirits, tools, and practices of Andean mysticism--the real story behind the fictionalized accounts in The Celestine Prophecy Known as the “keepers of the ancient knowledge,” the Q’ero Indians of Peru are the most respected mystics of the south-central Andes. In 1996 Joan Parisi Wilcox traveled to the Andes and was able to record the mysteries of kawsay pacha, the multidimensional world of living energy, through more than 40 hours of intensive interviews with six Q’ero paqos, masters of the ancient spiritual traditions of Peru. The Q’ero are known for having preserved the Inca spiritual tradition more purely than any other indigenous population in the Andes. The in-depth interviews presented in this book recount the direct words of these masters so readers can discover for themselves the mind and heart space of these people. Four new chapters of this revised edition focus on the work of the mesa, the Andean form of a spiritual medicine bundle, and its use as a conduit for the healing energies of nature. The mesa is called the “heart’s fire” because it represents the finest energy--the energy of compassion--that a paqo cultivates while walking the sacred path. Wilcox provides instructions on how to make, activate, and work with a mesa, as well as other practical exercises showing how we can use the power of the Andean spiritual tradition in our own lives.

Download or read book Rituals of Respect written by Inge Bolin and published by University of Texas Press. This book was released on 2010-06-28 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "In the remoteness of their mountain retreat, the herders of Chillihuani, Peru, recognize that respect for others is the central and most significant element of all thought and action," observes Inge Bolin. "Without respect, no society, no civilization, can flourish for long. Without respect, humanity is doomed and so is the earth, sustainer of all life." In this beautifully written ethnography, Bolin describes the rituals of respect that maintain harmonious relations among people, the natural world, and the realm of the gods in an isolated Andean community of llama and alpaca herders that reaches up to 16,500 feet. Bolin was the first foreigner to visit Chillihuani, and she was permitted to participate in private family rituals, as well as public ceremonies. In turn, she allows the villagers to explain the meaning of their rituals in their own words. From these first-hand experiences, Bolin offers an intimate portrait of an annual ritual cycle that dates back to Inca and pre-Inca times, including the ancient Pukllay; weddings; the Fiesta de Santiago, with its horse races on the top of the world; and Peru's Independence Day, when the Rituals of Respect for elders and young people alike are carried out within male and female hierarchies reminiscent of Inca times.
