Since 1904, the Moorestown Improvement Association has been instrumental in the town's growth, with contributions including funding the first artesian well, purchasing land for the first parks and athletic fields, and registering the town in the National Register of Historic Places.

The Natives and Dutch quickly negotiated peace, avoiding an extended war through diplomacy and trade.
