This book, with its vivid imagery, but written in a little used literary form, is intended for the support and comfort of the followers of Jesus in their spiritual jpurney, especially during times of persecution. Written in poetic code, its glorious messages of comfort are hidden from the world and its alarmist profiteers. It is the grand climax of the Bible, a summary of the teachings of the 1st Century church. Once understood, the rich imagery opens easily to the bondservants of Jesus.

  • Pages : 480 pages

Download or read book Revelation Explained written by Terry Swift and published by LifeRich Publishing. This book was released on 2022-06-22 with total page 480 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book of Revelation is meant to be understood or revealed. The word revelation means to reveal, to uncover. But it cannot be understood by a man without the indwelling Spirit. The Holy Spirit gives keys to understanding the book both in Revelation and in other teachings of scripture. The Spirit lets us know when the book was written - by facts presented in the book. That is important in discovering when the fulfillment of the book took place. The Spirit also tells us the Revelation was of things that “must soon take place.” This phrase governs our understanding in the fulfillment of the whole Revelation. Again, the teaching of prophecies were all to be fulfilled within the “generation of Jesus”. These prophecies were to and “must soon take place” in the book. There are seven keys I have followed in understanding the book of Revelation. You can understand the book of revelation also by following the keys the Spirit has left for us. God blesses us in multiple ways in opening His book - the Revelation. May he bless you fully in that effort through his Spirit. May you come to understand his Revelation.

Download or read book Life study of Revelation written by Witness Lee and published by Living Stream Ministry. This book was released on 2023-09-27 with total page 769 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book of Revelation firstly reveals Christ (1:1), and secondly the testimony of Jesus (1:2). In other words, this book is concerned with Christ and the church. In Revelation, Christ and the church are revealed in a unique and particular way. Several aspects of Christ, such as the vision of Him as the High Priest in the midst of the churches, caring for them in love yet with a judging attitude (1:13-16), the vision of Him as the Lion-Lamb in the midst of God’s throne, and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the 24 elders of the universe opening the seven seals of God’s universal administration (5:1-6:1), and the vision of Him as Another Mighty Angel coming down from heaven to take possession of the earth (10:1-8; 18:1) have never been unveiled as they are in the book of Revelation. In this book, the revelation of Christ is unique and ultimate. In addition to this ultimate revelation of Christ, the book of Revelation also unveils many unique aspects of the church as the testimony of Jesus. The lampstands in chapter one, the great multitude of the redeemed in chapter seven, the bright woman with her man-child in chapter 12, the harvest with its firstfruits in chapter 14, the overcomers on the sea of glass in chapter 15, the bride ready for marriage and the fighting army of Christ in chapter 19, and the New Jerusalem in chapters 21 and 22 are all the testimony of Jesus which is the Spirit - the substance, the disposition, and the characteristic - of the prophecy in this book (19:10). The central content of this book is an unveiling of God’s economy concerning Christ and the church, presenting the ultimate and consummate revelation of Christ with His full salvation and the church as His loving bride, the New Jerusalem. In this book, we find the full and adequate conclusion, not only to the writings of John and to the New Testament, but also to the entire divine revelation.
