This book was released on 2023-02-14 with total page 216 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Education in India is provided by the public sector as well as the private sector, with control and funding coming from three levels, namely, central, state, and local. The central (ČBSE, ICSE) and most state boards uniformly follow the ten plus two plus three' pattern of education. In this pattern, study of twelve years is done in a school and junior college (ten plus two years) and the attainment of a Bachelor's degree takes three years of studies thereafter. The first ten years is further subdivided into five years of primary education, three years of upper primary, followed by two years of high school. It is important to clarify that while there are private schools in India, they are highly regulated in terms of what they can teach, in what form they can operate (for example, only non-profit organizations can run an accredited educational institution) and all other aspects of operation. This book, Teacher Education, introduces the students to the concept of teacher education and, discussing the teaching as a profession. The chapter first give the introduction of education and its stakeholders, goal of education, distance education and learning. As the successor, chapter two describe the training and practices in the teaching profession. The third chapter explain the microteaching, its rationale and scope and the principle lying behind the concept. On the other hand the chapter four takes on the topic of the teaching practices very deeply and explore the related topics such as: school internship, block teaching, lesson plan etc. lastly the chapter five and six discuss about the general and different method of teaching and issue and complication related to education.
