Books there were, giving instructions on various points, but none, so far as he could discover, harmonising the whole into a system. The Editor refrained from undertaking such a book, feeling that he had not a sufficiently intimate knowledge of the game. November 1872. Preface To The Third Edition. The Author and Editor have gone carefully through all the directions and measurements, have amended some passages and have corrected some of the strokes. A new chapter on Winning-hazards has been added. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
