Download or read book Traffic Accident Simulation Final Report written by J. E. Beard and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this research was to determine if HVOSM (Highway Vehicle Object Simulation Model) could be used to model a vehicle with a modern front (or rear) suspension system such as a McPherson strut and have the results of the dynamic model be valid. To accomplish this task, the types of suspension systems modeled in HVOSM and how they were mathematically represented in the equations of motion that govern the dynamics of the vehicle in the simulation were investigated.
Download or read book Vehicle Dynamics written by Dieter Schramm and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-07-17 with total page 417 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The authors examine in detail the fundamentals and mathematical descriptions of the dynamics of automobiles. In this context different levels of complexity will be presented, starting with basic single-track models up to complex three-dimensional multi-body models. A particular focus is on the process of establishing mathematical models on the basis of real cars and the validation of simulation results. The methods presented are explained in detail by means of selected application scenarios.

Download or read book Simulation in Chassis Technology written by Dirk Adamski and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-10-22 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Anyone who wants to simulate the behavior of vehicles must think about how they want to model the vehicle's chassis. Depending on the question (vehicle dynamics, ride comfort, load data prediction ...) there are a variety of possibilities. This book should help to find and implement the right models and processes. In addition to a short introduction to simulation technology, the most important types of modelling for the assemblies of the chassis using the method of multi-body systems are presented. However, successful simulation does not only mean the assembly of suitable models, but always represents a well thought-out process that goes from data acquisition to the validation of the models. This will be discussed using suitable examples for concrete questions.
Download or read book Simulation Techniques for Applied Dynamics written by Martin Arnold and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-06-15 with total page 382 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The coupling of models from different physical domains and the efficient and reliable simulation of multidisciplinary problems in engineering applications are important topics for various fields of engineering, in simulation technology and in the development and analysis of numerical solvers. The volume presents advanced modelling and simulation techniques for the dynamical analysis of coupled engineering systems consisting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and biological components as well as control devices often based on computer hardware and software. The book starts with some basics in multibody dynamics and in port-based modelling and focuses on the modelling and simulation of heterogeneous systems with special emphasis on robust and efficient numerical solution techniques and on a variety of applied problems including case studies of co-simulation in industrial applications, methods and problems of model based controller design and real-time application.
