Book Miracles Beyond Our Comprehension

Download or read book Miracles Beyond Our Comprehension written by A. M. Deigloriam and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2016-07-22 with total page 121 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our very existence on a planet that is lost in a universe that defies measurement is a miracle beyond our comprehension. We are guests on an extremely rare and beautiful planet that God has prepared for us to care for and enjoy. We need to realize the importance of this gift and praise and thank God for his love for us. We are his creation and we need to share his love with others. He loved us first. Isaiah 44:24 reads, "Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself." In the beginning it was God's breath that created man as a spiritual being. We have both a physical body and a spirit. We also have free will that allows us to make the decision to accept or reject the belief that Jesus (God's only Son) came to this earth to die for our sins that our spirits may live forever with God our Creator. It is God's grace, mercy, and love that allows miracles to take place today.

Book Freedom Beyond Comprehension

Download or read book Freedom Beyond Comprehension written by Joan Hunter and published by Whitaker House. This book was released on 2012-07-16 with total page 157 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: You’ve prayed for deliverance—you’ve forgiven those who have hurt or abused you—and yet you’re still nursing the painful wounds of your past. Does this describe your experience? Many Christians have suffered unspeakable trauma and wonder why they aren’t experiencing the freedom God has promised. The reason is that trauma goes deeper than the mind. It infiltrates the body at the cellular level, and only a deliverance that deals with the whole man—soul, spirit, and body—will treat the trauma and set you free—completely free. Speaking as one who has received miraculous healing herself and also ministered it to others, Christian author and healing expert Joan Hunter demonstrates how to find true freedom through such methods as… Cursing cellular memory of rape and other forms of sexual abuse Escaping the stress that wears you down Renewing your mind with the mind of Christ Forgiving those who have harmed you Learning to love yourself Accepting the unconditional love of your heavenly Father As you break free from the bondage of trauma and pain, you will walk in deliverance and discover your true identity as a beloved child of God. You can be healed and whole! Start the recovery process today.

Book excerpt: The Bible teaches man the word of God. But Christianity's greatest error has been to interpret the word of God as being the Logos of God. Providing a fresh perspective, The Holy Bible Plus offers a thorough look at the Bible--its origins, its contents, its teachings, its substance, its testaments, and more. The Holy Bible Plus examines a host of topics surrounding the Bible, Christianity, spirituality, and what it means to be a follower of Christ. It seeks to provide an understanding of the WORD, faith, God, the plan, the kingdom, the soul, your duties as a Christian, and sexualities. The essays included in The Holy Bible Plus communicate that Christ revealed how to be creators of new life, not how to be holy. It teaches that obedience to the word is the holiness of Judaism, but discovery of the word is the power of creation.

Book excerpt: One of the things I learned on this thousand-mile walk is I am only vulnerable when I hide and, I hide when I feel threatened, not up to the challenge, or I am ashamed about something. Also, I realized as humans, most of us are always host to at least one if not all three conditions that invest heavily in our sense of guilt, shame and fear. These conditions exist greatly because of the ill will that we have projected and invested in the image of our own creation, not understanding the power we put into such an investment, nor do many of us have the spiritual understanding of the spoken and unspoken word, and its internal and external power over our thought processes as well as our behavior. On the other hand, I believe with positivism one can disinvest in all ones negativity. One cannot do harm to ones neighbor without doing harm to ones own character, self-esteem, emotional and mental stability; ones own sense of self is diminished. Let us step out of fear and free the heart; free the heart and step into the power of ones eternal-self and you are, once again, walking in humanity, in spirit, reflecting the loving image of Spirit, not the confusion we have placed upon such a concept.

Book The Theology of the Four Gospels

Download or read book The Theology of the Four Gospels written by Mel Shoemaker and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2011-10-28 with total page 476 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Biblical theology is the discovery and development of doctrine as found and emphasized by a specific book of the Bible. Instead of beginning with a subject and then searching the scriptures broadly to assemble what may be relevant and illuminate ones understanding of that specific topic, biblical theology starts with a particular author and focuses upon a specific scriptural unit. The objective is to let the Bible speak for itself and discover what the original writer(s) wanted readersor those listening to the readingto understand. Therefore, New Testament biblical theology assists the student in understanding the distinctive doctrinal enrichment each book in the Christian canon brings to the collection of authoritative literature. The Theology of the Four Gospels is designed to engage an individual or group in a fresh study of the teachings of Jesus and the distinctive perspectives of the Four EvangelistsMatthew, Mark, Luke and John. Even though everyone participating in the study is examining the same literature, the conclusions may vary widely, which may contribute to a very fruitful discussion. Why should one anticipate a variety of interpretations? Each person comes to the study of the Bible with prior opinions, judgments, and beliefs. These presuppositions have been formed by our culture (e.g., ethnicity, political, social, economic, and religious background), critical knowledge (educational background in history, literature, language, natural abilities, life experiences, and age), and character (moral values, belief in the supernatural, human immortality, accountability, rational choices, and spiritual maturity). This is the goalto let the Four Gospels speak for themselves. The theological outcome may be tentative and provisional; however, the reader or student becomes engaged in the process of building a sound, personal theology and a steadfast, living faith in Jesus Christ.
