Book Mimi s Memory Verses

Download or read book Mimi s Memory Verses written by Pamela Harrelson and published by eBookIt.com. This book was released on 2012-08 with total page 51 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pam's life story is one of triumph over perplexing personality disorders and subsequent addictive disorder. Her lifelong quest for God's answers to multiple struggles reveals the miracle of what God's love, mercy, and forgiveness can do with a yielding mind and heart. Scripture memory and practical guidelines can play the primary role in our transformations, and if needed the mental health industry can be secondary. Pam's notes on her scripture memory verses had been scattered in numerous Bibles and notebooks over four decades. Until she gathered them all together and arranged them in chronological order, they seemed unrelated. Her review stunned her. Seeing the work collected into a whole revealed to her the wondrous truth that "God Wrote His Story into Mine" over the 40 year period. Though this work is not about a well-known celebrity, it may well contain take-away treasures for unknown readers. Some of you may find reassurance that the power of the Word of God Himself can relieve you of an over-dependence on the mental health industry, a problem so common in our generation. These days, millions suffer from an ungodly food addiction. You may find nuggets of biblical wisdom in Pam's lifelong experience with fast weight loss diets, bariatric surgeries, food addiction, and resistance to exercise. It may encourage you to know that someone with a problem perhaps more serious than your own found the way to conquer addiction through listening to God's words and acting upon them. Some of you may benefit from a small message about the difficult task of marriage, raising children, or losing your spouse and feeling lonely for the first time in your life. Most of all, it is Pam's hope and prayer that all believers who read her journal will be motivated to memorize God's word and hide it in their hearts forever. The Holy Spirit brings our memory verses to mind every time we need them! This reliable supernatural intervention encourages us in the most hopeless of times with unwavering hope, steady courage when fear threatens to overwhelm us and powerful confidence that only God can give. Many POW's have said they wished they memorized more scriptures to sustain them. Pam resides in Mandeville, LA. She was widowed in July of 2000 and is surrounded by her two children and their spouses and five wonderful grandchildren. They all enjoy year round biking, boating, and little league activity. Pam's Harrelson's first book, The Rest of the Truth: Bariatric Surgeries and Other Fast Weight Loss Diets addressed the challenges of weight maintenance after surgery. In 1996, after her own recovery from food addiction, she became a Personal Trainer and a Public Speaker. She was certified by American Council on Exercise and Cooper Institute. After her retirement, Pamela wrote an Ebook, Practical Advice for Lifetime Maintenance After Bariatric Surgery.

Book Handbook of Pre Modern Nordic Memory Studies

Download or read book Handbook of Pre Modern Nordic Memory Studies written by Jürg Glauser and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2018-11-19 with total page 1152 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In recent years, the field of Memory Studies has emerged as a key approach in the Humanities and Social Sciences, and has increasingly shown its ability to open new windows on Nordic Studies as well. The entries in this book document the work-to-date of this approach on the pre-modern Nordic world (mainly the Viking Age and the Middle Ages, but including as well both earlier and later periods). Given that Memory Studies is an ever expanding critical strategy, the approximately eighty contributors in this volume also discuss the potential for future research in this area. Topics covered range from texts to performance to visual and other aspects of material culture, all approached from within an interdisciplinary framework. International specialists, coming from such relevant fields as archaeology, mythology, history of religion, folklore, history, law, art, literature, philology, language, and mediality, offer assessments on the relevance of Memory Studies to their disciplines and show it at work in case studies. Finally, this handbook demonstrates the various levels of culture where memory had a critical impact in the pre-modern North and how deeply embedded the role of memory is in the material itself.

Book What Is True Love According to the Bible Love Is When Your Name Is Safe In Someone s Mouth

Download or read book What Is True Love According to the Bible Love Is When Your Name Is Safe In Someone s Mouth written by Mimi Emmanuel and published by Truth, Love & God. This book was released on 2019-12-12 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I'LL SHOW YOU THE DEFINITION OF TRUE LOVE ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE. IT MAY NOT BE WHAT YOU THINK IT IS.Imagine that God is real. I believe this. And imagine just for a second that we all live according to His guidelines... imagine... we're now living in paradise! How good is that!We are loving each other the way we would like to be loved ourselves. We have peace and not just peace of mind, but real peace in the world. Everyone has shelter, clothes and enough wholesome food to share around. Doesn't this sound wonderful?God's people know how to do this. Look at the charitable Christian organisations around the world to see that when God's rules are followed, there is abundance.Where I live, the 2nd hand shops run by Christian organisations such as Vinnies, Salvation Army and our Red Cross Shop overflow with good quality donated clothes and furniture for minimal prices. Victory Church sells hampers for $35 which provides food for a family of 4 for a whole week! WeCare2 offers groceries for people with limited budgets.Centacare, Blue Care, Uniting Care provide all kinds of services at minimal or no cost to the aged, disabled and disadvantaged and I can go on and on. These organisations are only a few of many in my town and show us that Christians know how their heavenly Father wants them to love each other.Does this love also manifest in our private lives with our own family and friends? Do we know how to and actively love our Father back?Jesus, a real person, the Son of God, came to save humanity from itself'God Healed Me, ' written by Mimi Emmanuel has been listed in the top 100 books in various categories since it launched in May 2016. It was called, 'A very inspiring book, full of wisdom and enlightenment, ' and, 'This book is incredibly good, ' and, 'You so beautifully present the power of our Living God!''What Is True Love According To The Bible, ' is the 2nd book in the Truth, Love & God series. This series came about after Mimi realised that the 'Jesus' stories' told by her Mum were true. As in, Jesus was not just a mythical figure but a real person, the Son of God, who had come down to earth to save humanity from itself. THIS BOOK LOOKS INTO THE TRUTH ABOUT GOD AND JESUS' LOVE FOR HUMANITY AND HOW WE ARE RECIPROCATING. And how few of us ever respond in kind. 'What Is True Love? According To The Bible, ' is based on decades of Bible study and introspection. The book is an easy and quick one and a half hour read for the average reader. In addition there are seventy pages (hundreds) of Scriptural references related to 'true love according to the Bible.'The Word Love Is Mentioned 686 Times In The BibleMany Christians seem to think that the Bible is all about salvation. I agree that Jesus came down to earth to save us from ourselves. However, THE MAIN THEME THROUGHOUT THE BIBLE IS ABOUT HOW OUR HEAVENLY FATHER WOULD LIKE US TO LOVE HIM AND LOVE EACH OTHER. The word 'love' and variants thereof are mentioned 442 times in the King James Bible, 545 times in the Amplified Bible and 686 times in the New International Version. That's a lot of times! This is in contrast to the word 'salvation' which is only mentioned 158 times in the King James Bible, 329 in the Amplified Bible and 114 times in the New International Version.Salvation comes about because of the love shown to us. Unreciprocated love cannot flourish; we all know that.Yet many believers think that grace will rain down from heaven no matter what. Our Father sent His Son and Jesus gave His life so that we may be saved. Do we really think that just a 'thank you!' is enough?Read alongside Mimi to discover how God's Holy Word spells out to us that true love requires obedience and our Father tells us exactly how to. Don't obey fellow Christians or your church. Listen to HIM!Purchase the paper copy and get the kindle FREE; start reading today.DOWNLOAD THIS BOOK NO

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the twentieth century dawned and France entered an era of extraordinary labor activism and industrial competition, an insistently romantic vision of the Parisian garment worker was deployed by politicians, reformers, and artists to manage anxieties about economic and social change. Nostalgia about a certain kind of France was written onto the bodies of the capital's couture workers throughout French pop culture from the 1880s to the 1930s. And the midinettes-as these women were called- were written onto the geography of Paris itself, by way of festivals, monuments, historic preservation, and guide books. The idealized working Parisienne stood in for, at once, the superiority of French taste and craft, and the political (and sexual) subordination of French women and labour. But she was also the public face of more than 80,000 real working women whose demands for better labour conditions were inflected, distorted, and, in some cases, amplified by this ubiquitous Romantic type in the decades straddling World War I. Working Girls bridges cultural histories of the Parisian imaginary and histories of French labour, and puts them in raucous dialogue with one another: a letter by a nineteen-year-old seamstress, a speech by a government minister; a frothy Parisian guide by a bon vivant, the minutes of a union meeting; a bawdy café-concert song, a policy brief on garment working conditions.

Book I Love Jesus But I Want to Die

Download or read book I Love Jesus But I Want to Die written by Sarah J. Robinson and published by WaterBrook. This book was released on 2021-05-11 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A compassionate, shame-free guide for your darkest days “A one-of-a-kind book . . . to read for yourself or give to a struggling friend or loved one without the fear that depression and suicidal thoughts will be minimized, medicalized or over-spiritualized.”—Kay Warren, cofounder of Saddleback Church What happens when loving Jesus doesn’t cure you of depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts? You might be crushed by shame over your mental illness, only to be told by well-meaning Christians to “choose joy” and “pray more.” So you beg God to take away the pain, but nothing eases the ache inside. As darkness lingers and color drains from your world, you’re left wondering if God has abandoned you. You just want a way out. But there’s hope. In I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die, Sarah J. Robinson offers a healthy, practical, and shame-free guide for Christians struggling with mental illness. With unflinching honesty, Sarah shares her story of battling depression and fighting to stay alive despite toxic theology that made her afraid to seek help outside the church. Pairing her own story with scriptural insights, mental health research, and simple practices, Sarah helps you reconnect with the God who is present in our deepest anguish and discover that you are worth everything it takes to get better. Beautifully written and full of hard-won wisdom, I Love Jesus, But I Want to Die offers a path toward a rich, hope-filled life in Christ, even when healing doesn’t look like what you expect.

Book The Chiron Effect

Download or read book The Chiron Effect written by Lisa Tahir and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2020-10-20 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A guide to using astrology to identify your core wounds and heal them using psychological techniques, affirmations, and self-compassion • Explains how the placement of Chiron in your birth chart identifies the core wounds and unconscious patterns that block empathy and self-forgiveness • Offers a descriptive chapter for each of the 12 zodiac sign placements for Chiron, revealing how Chiron affects you psychologically, emotionally, sexually, spiritually, socially, financially, and intellectually • Provides specific steps for each sign to shift self-destructive patterns as well as powerful affirmations infused with Reiki healing energy We all have experienced disappointment, sadness, rejection, or the loss of something meaningful in our lives. When you are wounded, innate animalistic instincts for self-protection kick in as a means for survival. These behavior patterns are a natural and necessary coping strategy, at first. But many dwell far too long in these patterns and separate themselves from their source of inner wisdom and intuition. Using astrology as a diagnostic tool, Lisa Tahir reveals how to use the astrological placement of the minor planet Chiron in your birth chart to identify the core wounds and unconscious patterns that block your capacity to have self-empathy and to forgive. Coining the phrase “Chiron Effect” to describe the magnetic pull that individuals have around specific areas of vulnerability, she explains how, like a raw nerve, the placement of Chiron describes what parts of our lives we might edit or hide for fear of being rejected as well as the areas of sensitivity where we are triggered. Offering a chart and online links to allow you to determine Chiron’s placement in your chart, the author explains how Chiron affects you psychologically, emotionally, sexually, spiritually, socially, financially, and intellectually depending on the sign and house it falls within. She outlines how to begin healing your core wounds through empathy and self-forgiveness, providing several steps for each sign placement to shift self-destructive patterns and learn to protect yourself as well as powerful affirmations infused with Reiki healing energy to help you anchor a new belief system. As Lisa Tahir reveals, once identified, your personal Chiron placement can become the source of your greatest healing and empowerment. By recognizing your core wounding and learning to offer yourself empathy and forgiveness, you can finally break free from suffering, end self-sabotage, and allow your life to unfold in a new way.
