Book excerpt: Knitting on the mid-gauge machine is so much fun. Items knit up fast. The designs for the patters are simple so they are easy to knit. A variety of techniques will be used for the many projects - short rowing, tuck, lace and intarsia. You will find a wealth of information explaining many techniques you will use for these patterns and for future knitting. Included are: wraps, shawl, scarves, baby blankets and afghans to knit. Lots of photos and row by row instructions. The samples were knit using the LK 150 but any mid-gauge machine will work just as nicely. If you don't have the yarn used in the pattern - use the tension as your guide to selecting another yarn. Many of the hand knit yarns work well on the mid-gauge machines - so give them a try. I enjoy plying thinner yarns to make unique yarns for some of the projects.
