This book was released on 1996 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CETTE THESE A ETE EFFECTUEE AU LABORATOIRE D'IMAGE, SIGNAL ET ACOUSTIQUE DE CPE LYON SOUS LA DIRECTION DE MONSIEUR M. JOURLIN. ELLE A POUR BUT D'ETUDIER ET DE METTRE EN UVRE DE NOUVELLES TECHNIQUES DE SEGMENTATION BIDIMENSIONNELLES ET TRIDIMENSIONNELLES EN VUE DE L'APPLICATION DENTAIRE. ELLE SE COMPOSE DE DEUX CHAPITRES. LE PREMIER CHAPITRE PRESENTE LE CONTEXTE DE NOTRE TRAVAIL, C'EST-A-DIRE L'IMAGERIE DENTAIRE. NOUS ETUDIONS DANS UN PREMIER TEMPS LES SYSTEMES D'ACQUISITION DONT NOUS DISPOSONS (SCANNER X ET MORPHOMETRE), ET LES DIFFERENTS TYPES D'IMAGES ASSOCIES. PUIS, NOUS FAISONS LE POINT SUR LES TECHNIQUES DE TRAITEMENT D'IMAGES COURAMMENT UTILISEES PAR LES APPLICATIONS ODONTOLOGIQUES. APRES AVOIR EXPOSE LES RAISONS POUR LESQUELLES LES BESOINS DES CHIRURGIENS-DENTISTES N'ETAIENT PAS ENTIEREMENT SATISFAITS PAR LES TECHNIQUES EXISTANTES, NOUS TERMINONS CE CHAPITRE SUR LA NECESSITE DE METTRE EN UVRE DE NOUVEAUX TRAITEMENTS TELS QUE LA SEGMENTATION. LE DEUXIEME CHAPITRE EST ENTIEREMENT CONSACRE A LA SEGMENTATION. DEUX APPROCHES SONT ETUDIEES: PAR CONTOUR ET PAR REGION. LA PREMIERE APPROCHE FAIT L'OBJET D'UNE PARTIE DANS LAQUELLE DEUX TYPES DE TECHNIQUES SONT ENVISAGES: LE FILTRAGE ET LES CONTOURS ACTIFS. LA SECONDE APPROCHE EST TRAITEE EN DEUX PARTIES SEPAREES, L'UNE PORTANT SUR LA CLASSIFICATION ET L'AUTRE SUR LA CROISSANCE DE REGION. DES TECHNIQUES NOUVELLES SONT PRESENTEES TELLES QUE LE MULTISEUILLAGE PAR POIDS DE FRONTIERES OU LA CLASSIFICATION MIXTE QUI EST UNE COMBINAISON DES NUEES DYNAMIQUES MULTIDIMENSIONNELLES ET DE LA CLASSIFICATION ASCENDANTE HIERARCHIQUE (CETTE TECHNIQUE PREND EN COMPTE L'INFORMATION SPATIALE ET L'INFORMATION DES NIVEAUX DE GRIS). NOUS TERMINONS CE CHAPITRE PAR LA PRESENTATION D'UN NOUVEL ALGORITHME DE CROISSANCE DE REGION QUI PRESENTE L'ORIGINALITE DE POUVOIR SEGMENTER DES OBJETS NON-CONNEXES A PARTIR D'UN SEUL GERME AVEC DE MEILLEURES PERFORMANCES QUE LES ALGORITHMES CLASSIQUES

Book Biomedical Image Segmentation

Download or read book Biomedical Image Segmentation written by Ayman El-Baz and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2016-11-17 with total page 511 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As one of the most important tasks in biomedical imaging, image segmentation provides the foundation for quantitative reasoning and diagnostic techniques. A large variety of different imaging techniques, each with its own physical principle and characteristics (e.g., noise modeling), often requires modality-specific algorithmic treatment. In recent years, substantial progress has been made to biomedical image segmentation. Biomedical image segmentation is characterized by several specific factors. This book presents an overview of the advanced segmentation algorithms and their applications.

Book SEGMENTATION ET VISUALISATION D IMAGES 3D

Download or read book SEGMENTATION ET VISUALISATION D IMAGES 3D written by FREDDY.. DARSONVILLE and published by . This book was released on 1998 with total page 352 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CE MEMOIRE EST DEDIE A LA SEGMENTATION ET A LA VISUALISATION D'IMAGES MEDICALES DENTAIRES 3D. NOTRE CADRE DE TRAVAIL ETANT CELUI DES IMAGES NON TEXTUREES A NIVEAUX DE GRIS, NOUS DEFINISSONS LA SEGMENTATION DE DONNEES MEDICALES COMME ETANT L'EXTRACTION DES ELEMENTS ANATOMIQUES INTERESSANTS POUR LE SPECIALISTE. PARTANT DU CONSTAT D'ECHEC DES TECHNIQUES CLASSIQUES DE SEGMENTATION SUR CE TYPE D'IMAGES EN RAISON DU FAIBLE CONTRASTE ET DE LA PRESENCE DE FLOU, NOUS PROPOSONS DEUX APPROCHES PARALLELES : UNE PREMIERE PAR SEGMENTATION DIRECTE SUIVANT LE PRINCIPE DE CROISSANCE DE REGION, ET UNE DEUXIEME BASEE SUR UN PRETRAITEMENT RENDANT ENSUITE EFFICACES LES TECHNIQUES CLASSIQUES. NOTRE ANALYSE DU PROCESSUS DE CROISSANCE DE REGION NOUS A PERMIS DE DEGAGER DEUX STRATEGIES D'AGREGATION DES PIXELS ; UNE METHODE SUPERVISEE, PILOTEE PAR DES METRIQUES QUALIFIANT LA DISTANCE ENTRE UN PIXEL ET LA REGION, ET UNE METHODE NON SUPERVISEE QUI S'AUTORISE A REMETTRE EN CAUSE DES PIXELS PRECEDEMMENT AGREGES EN OPTIMISANT UN CRITERE D'HOMOGENEITE POUR LA REGION. AFIN D'AMELIORER L'EFFICACITE DE TOUTE TECHNIQUE DE SEGMENTATION, NOUS AVONS PARALLELEMENT INTRODUIT DEUX ALGORITHMES DE PRETRAITEMENT VISANT A REHAUSSER LES TRANSITIONS ET HOMOGENEISER LES REGIONS DE L'IMAGE. LE PREMIER CONSIDERE L'IMAGE COMME UNE DISTRIBUTION STATISTIQUE DES NIVEAUX DE GRIS DES PIXELS ALORS QUE LE SECOND UTILISE LA REPRESENTATION SURFACIQUE DE LA FONCTION DE GRIS DE L'IMAGE. LES EXCELLENTS RESULTATS OBTENUS TANT SUR LES IMAGES SCANNER X MEDICALES QUE SUR DES IMAGES DE NATURE DIFFERENTE (SCANNER X DEDIES AUX MATERIAUX, MICROSCOPE CONFOCAL LASER), METTENT EN EVIDENCE L'EFFICACITE ET L'ADAPTABILITE DES NOUVELLES TECHNIQUES PRESENTEES. LA VISUALISATION DES ELEMENTS ANATOMIQUES SEGMENTES PAR RENDU SURFACIQUE REQUIERT UNE ETAPE PRELIMINAIRE DE MODELISATION GEOMETRIQUE ; CELLE-CI UTILISE PRINCIPALEMENT DES METHODES BASEES SUR UN MAILLAGE REGULIER DE L'ESPACE GENERANT HELAS UN NOMBRE IMPORTANT DE FACETTES. NOUS PRESENTONS UN NOUVEL ALGORITHME DE DECIMATION DE FACETTES, DONT L'ERREUR GLOBALE EST CONTROLEE PAR UNE METRIQUE DE FORMES, ASSURANT UNE ACCELERATION SUBSTANTIELLE DE LA VISUALISATION ET UNE REDUCTION IMPORTANTE DU VOLUME DE DONNEES A STOCKER.

Book M thode Des Chemins Minimaux Appliqu e L imagerie M dicale

Download or read book M thode Des Chemins Minimaux Appliqu e L imagerie M dicale written by Fethallah Benmansour and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page 184 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this thesis, we used and adapted the minimal path method to segment tubular structures in medical images, and to extract closed surfaces from biomedical images. The minimal path method has been introduced in order to minimize globally the geodesic active contour functional. In the first part of the manuscript, we recall the active contour models and their variants, and discuss their advantages and drawbacks. Then, we focus on the theoretical and numerical aspects of the minimal path method both in the classical isotropic case and the Riemannian anisotropic case. Also, we illustrate the importance of the metric and show how one can tune its parameters in order to overcome the shortcut issue. In the second part, we are interested in segmenting tubular structures. We propose a novel minimal path model that takes into account the vessel width and direction. We have chosen to exploit the tubular structure of the vessels one wants to extract to build an anisotropic metric giving higher speed on the center of the vessels and also when the minimal path tangent is coherent with the vessel's direction. In the third part, the problem of surface extraction from 3D images is addressed. First, we introduce a front propagation approach to detect recursively keypoints on an object of interest. Then, we propose a method to extract a patch of surface from a single source point. In order to obtain a complete surface, this approach is iterated. Finally, we propose a global approach that takes benefit of the interfaces surrounding the object.
