Book Motion Analysis for Image Sequence Coding

Download or read book Motion Analysis for Image Sequence Coding written by G. Tziritas and published by . This book was released on 1994 with total page 402 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is the fourth in the book series, Advances in Image Communication, a series dedicated to exploring the rapidly evolving, multidisciplinary field of image communications. Each publication stands alone as a state-of-the-art reference work in its particular area of expertise. It also forms an integral part of the comprehensive overview of developments across the field, which the series offers as a whole. Motion Analysis for Image Sequence Coding documents the technical advances made through the years in dealing with motion in image sequences - from straightforward coarse approaches to complicated algorithms. It is timely because of the unprecedented effort which is made to establish a set of international standards for the digital compression of moving pictures and television signals. These standards rely heavily on motion estimation and compensation techniques and will be exploited on a large scale in multimedia applications as well as in intelligent systems. The book will be of prime importance, not only to active engineers and researchers in the field, but also by serving as a basic educational tool.

Book COMPRESSION D IMAGES PAR PREDICTION

Download or read book COMPRESSION D IMAGES PAR PREDICTION written by AHMAD.. DAABOUL and published by . This book was released on 1996 with total page 170 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NOTRE THESE PORTE SUR LA COMPRESSION D'IMAGES SANS PERTE D'INFORMATION. NOUS PROPOSONS TROIS TYPES DE CODAGES: LE CODAGE PAR PREFIXE, LE CODAGE PREDICTIF ET LE CODAGE PAR ARBRE DE PREDICTION POUR EFFECTUER LA COMPRESSION. DANS LA PREMIERE TECHNIQUE, LE PIXEL COURANT EST REMPLACE PAR UN COUPLE D'ENTIERS. LES COUPLES AINSI OBTENUS SONT CODES PAR UN CODAGE ARITHMETIQUE AVEC UN MODELE DE PROBABILITE D'ORDRE 0 EN UTILISANT UN AUTOMATE.

Download or read book Approximation lin aire et non lin aire de fonctions al atoires written by Jean-Pierre d' Alès de Corbet and published by . This book was released on 2019 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book UN PROCEDE D ADRESSAGE PAR LE CONTENU POUR L ANALYSE ET LA COMPRESSION D IMAGES NUMERIQUES ANIMEES ET INANIMEES

Download or read book UN PROCEDE D ADRESSAGE PAR LE CONTENU POUR L ANALYSE ET LA COMPRESSION D IMAGES NUMERIQUES ANIMEES ET INANIMEES written by PHILIPPE.. LELASSEUX and published by . This book was released on 1991 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CE MEMOIRE PRESENTE UN RAPPEL DE DIFFERENTES METHODES DE COMPRESSION D'IMAGES NUMERIQUES. PUIS, IL DECRIT UNE OPERATION ELEMENTAIRE DE TYPE ADRESSAGE PAR LE CONTENU BAPTISEE ADRESSAGE SPATIAL QUI SERA UTILISE POUR RESOUDRE DEUX TYPES DE PROBLEMES: LA COMPRESSION D'IMAGES NUMERIQUES ANIMEES ET LA COMPRESSION D'IMAGES NUMERIQUES INANIMEES. POUR CELA, LA MODELISATION ET LA SIMULATION D'UNE MACHINE NEURONALE DEJA EXISTANTE QUI NE TRAITE QUE DES IMAGES DE TAILLE 1010, NOUS A PERMIS D'ETENDRE SON FONCTIONNEMENT A DES IMAGES NATURELLES. LA TECHNIQUE DE COMPRESSION POUR LES IMAGES NUMERIQUES ANIMEES REPOSE SUR LA REPRESENTATION D'UNE IMAGE PAR LES ENTITES COHERENTES QUI LA COMPOSENT. PENDANT UNE PHASE DITE D'APPRENTISSAGE, CES ENTITES SONT EXTRAITES DE L'IMAGE GRACE A UN FILTRE DE NOUVEAUTES ET A L'ADRESSAGE SPATIAL. UN ALGORITHME D'APPRENTISSAGE PERMET DE LES MEMORISER LORSQU'ELLES ONT ATTEINT UNE CERTAINE STABILITE. APRES CETTE PHASE, TOUTE NOUVELLE IMAGE EST FILTREE PAR CE PROCEDE ET UN ESTIMATEUR DE MOUVEMENTS CORRIGE LES TRANSLATIONS DES ENTITES. CECI REDUIT L'IMAGE A QUELQUES PIXELS, QUI SONT CODES PAR UN CODAGE PAR PLAGE, ET A QUELQUES INDICATIONS DE TRANSLATIONS. AINSI UNE TRANSMISSION D'IMAGES DEBUTE PAR L'EMISSION DES ENTITES APPRISES, PUIS SE POURSUIT PAR L'ENVOI DE CES INFORMATIONS. LE FACTEUR (OU TAUX) DE COMPRESSION OBTENU, DEFINI COMME LE RAPPORT DU NOMBRE DE BITS OCCUPES PAR UNE IMAGE NUMERISEE SUR LE NOMBRE DE BITS REELLEMENT TRANSMIS, VARIE DE 30 A 70. LA TECHNIQUE DE COMPRESSION DEVELOPPEE, POUR LES IMAGES NUMERIQUES INANIMEES, EST BASEE SUR LE RENFORCEMENT DE LA CORRELATION SPATIALE DES IMAGES PAR UNE TRANSFORMATION. CELLE-CI EST APPELEE TRANSFORMEE PAR PROPAGATION, ET EST ISSUE DE L'ADRESSAGE SPATIAL. LE CODAGE DE CETTE NOUVELLE TRANSFORMEE PAR DIFFERENCIATION OU PAR PREDICTION SPATIALE AMENE ACTUELLEMENT LE FACTEUR DE COMPRESSION ENTRE 3 ET 4

  • Author : Paul G. Constantine
  • Publisher : SIAM
  • Release : 2015-03-17
  • ISBN : 1611973856
  • Pages : 105 pages

Download or read book Active Subspaces written by Paul G. Constantine and published by SIAM. This book was released on 2015-03-17 with total page 105 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Scientists and engineers use computer simulations to study relationships between a model's input parameters and its outputs. However, thorough parameter studies are challenging, if not impossible, when the simulation is expensive and the model has several inputs. To enable studies in these instances, the engineer may attempt to reduce the dimension of the model's input parameter space. Active subspaces are an emerging set of dimension reduction tools that identify important directions in the parameter space. This book describes techniques for discovering a model's active subspace and proposes methods for exploiting the reduced dimension to enable otherwise infeasible parameter studies. Readers will find new ideas for dimension reduction, easy-to-implement algorithms, and several examples of active subspaces in action.

Book Expanding the Lexicon

Download or read book Expanding the Lexicon written by Sabine Arndt-Lappe and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2018-01-22 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The creation of new lexical units and patterns has been studied in different research frameworks, focusing on either system-internal or system-external aspects, from which no comprehensive view has emerged. The volume aims to fill this gap by studying dynamic processes in the lexicon – understood in a wide sense as not being necessarily limited to the word level – by bringing together approaches directed to morphological productivity as well as approaches analyzing general types of lexical innovation and the role of discourse-related factors. The papers deal with ongoing changes as well as with historical processes of change in different languages and reflect on patterns and specific subtypes of lexical innovation as well as on their external conditions and the speakers’ motivations for innovating. Moreover, the diffusion and conventionalization of innovations will be addressed. In this way, the volume contributes to understanding the complex interplay of structural, cognitive and functional factors in the lexicon as a highly dynamic domain.
