This book was released on 2005-08-31 with total page 367 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A timely, hands-on guide to environmental issues and regulatory standards for the petroleum industry Environmental analysis and testing methods are an integral part of any current and future refining activities. Today's petroleum refining industry must be prepared to meet a growing number of challenges, both environmental and regulatory. Environmental Analysis and Technology for the Refining Industry focuses on the analytical issues inherent in any environmental monitoring or cleanup program as they apply to today's petroleum industry, not only during the refining process, but also during recovery operations, transport, storage, and utilization. Designed to help today's industry professionals identify test methods for monitoring and cleanup of petroleum-based pollutants, the book provides examples of the application of environmental regulations to petroleum refining and petroleum products, as well as current and proposed methods for the mitigation of environmental effects and waste management. Part I introduces petroleum technology, refining, and products, and reviews the nomenclature used by refiners, environmental scientists, and engineers. Part II discusses environmental technology and analysis, and provides information on environmental regulation and the impact of refining. Coverage includes: * In-depth descriptions of analyses related to gaseous emissions, liquid effluents, and solid waste * A checklist of relevant environmental regulations * Numerous real-world examples of the application of environmental regulations to petroleum refining and petroleum products * An analysis of current and proposed methods of environmental protection and waste management

Download or read book A New Solfege Teaching Model for Beginning Level Solfege written by and published by EĞİTİM YAYINEVİ. This book was released on 2024-05-06 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the biggest problems encountered in beginning level solfege education is ‘what can be done to help students who cannot give the correct sounds, cannot solfege with the correct sounds, and cannot even make their voices thinner or thicker to solfege with the correct sounds. In order to solve the ‘problem of the students' inability to use their voice encountered in beginning level solfege training, the students should first be given exercises to teach them how to use and control the correct diaphragm intensity and the correct amount of air pressure according to the loudness they want to produce. Thus, the students will learn to use their voice and will be able to give the sounds they want to give correctly and solfege with the correct sounds. I hope that this book will be helpful for all solfege educators and students and will make great contributions to the field of solfege education.

Download or read book Presidential Maxims written by Raymond Roberson and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-03-11 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: POTUS—does the name give you a positive or negative reaction? In a time where our country is extremely divided about the current Presidential role, those reactions are mixed, but it is certain that this role has shaped our past, is still relevant to our day, and will affect our future. With his power limited by the checks and balances of the federal branches and his duty as commander in chief aside, a President's influence can be felt most keenly in the attitudes his demeanor fosters among his nation's citizens, it is that influence that drives this book's focus. Forty-five men in our history have defined this role, and their contributions establish a pattern of leadership that we can benefit from now and reap rewards from their influence, as individuals, to bring change to our communities and ultimately to our country. Leadership traits are identified herein for the first nineteen Presidents with birthdays from January to June chronologically, their life experiences summarized with brevity to show learned behaviors that can foster a successful life, along with quotations that reflect their personal philosophies. For instance, the well-respected George Washington said of his personal standard, "I hope I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable title the character of an honest man." Through study and personal application of the maxims like these and traits manifest in these men, we can each enrich our own domain
Download or read book Recent Developments in the Solution of Nonlinear Differential Equations written by Bruno Carpentieri and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2021-09-08 with total page 374 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nonlinear differential equations are ubiquitous in computational science and engineering modeling, fluid dynamics, finance, and quantum mechanics, among other areas. Nowadays, solving challenging problems in an industrial setting requires a continuous interplay between the theory of such systems and the development and use of sophisticated computational methods that can guide and support the theoretical findings via practical computer simulations. Owing to the impressive development in computer technology and the introduction of fast numerical methods with reduced algorithmic and memory complexity, rigorous solutions in many applications have become possible. This book collects research papers from leading world experts in the field, highlighting ongoing trends, progress, and open problems in this critically important area of mathematics.
