Seek the face of Elohim and total unity with Him. “My heart says of You, ‘Seek His face!’ Your face, Lord, I will seek.” (Psalm 27:8) Messianic Meditations is a collection of passionate contemplations about Yeshua and the spiritual journey to oneness with Him in the soon-coming eternal Kingdom. These meditations were written from the personal perspective of a woman whose life was transformed from lukewarm faith to a fiery heart of love for Messiah when the God of Israel revealed Himself in the person of Yeshua haMashiach. The revelation of Yeshua, the King of the Jews, and the plan of Elohim for the restoration of Israel, the nations, and, ultimately, the whole world, are themes throughout the writings. As you seek His face, pondering the meditations in this book will stir the flames of your heart to believe His prophetic Word and to put your hope fully in His promise of an eternal Kingdom, with the King literally reigning from Jerusalem on the restored planet earth. Fulfill your spiritual destiny to love Him with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.

Book excerpt: This book was written to do 2 things for us. First to show how what is commonly called the Lord's prayer given by our Messiah Yeshua, was a model deeply rooted in the Messiah's Jewish heritage. For it was without a doubt an abbreviated version of the Jewish prayer known as the Amidah. Secondly I give the believer in Yeshua a prayer Siddur for praying the Amidah, but with the inclusion of New Covenant Scriptures which reveals Messsiah Yeshua throughout. The reader finds out very quickly that Messiah is the answer to every petition, and the Glory of every praise within the standing prayer. One will also see the parts of the Amidah that are no longer required since Messiah's Sacrifice. Finally, we see the exclusion of the later added nineteeth blessing which was used as a curse against follwers of Yeshua.

Book excerpt: And he began to teach them: 'The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the high priests and the learned scribes, and be put to death, and after three days rise again.Mark 8:31-38.Two of the most eminent theologians of our age share their penetrating meditations on the passion of Jesus Christ as recorded in Mark 8:31-38. This is a book for anyone willing to respond to Christ's call to follow Him so that through His suffering and death our own is bearable. In the words of Moltmann, "and as it becomes bearable, it has already been overcome and turned into joy." Metz exhorts his readers to contemplate the way of the cross: "Only when we Christians give ear to the dark prophecy of the nameless, unrecognized, misunderstood, and misprised Passion do we hear aright the message of His suffering."

Book excerpt: In reading the book of Psalms, one uncovers an almost immeasurable source of information regarding history, prayer, deliverance, worship, and prophecy. Much to our amazement, we find lots of Psalms being quoted in the New Testament. One of the most fascinating aspects of the Psalms is the prophetic content. It unveils Israel's history, including their failures, leading to their rejection but ultimately their restoration. After decades of study, Norbert Lieth has produced a most fascinating and immensely informative book titled Messianic Psalms. This book uncovers the often hidden treasures of the Psalms, highlighting those which directly relate to the Messiah. This is a book for every Christian, with hope, instruction, comfort, and admonition.

Book The Messianic Imperative

Download or read book The Messianic Imperative written by Joseph Abrahams and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2007 with total page 176 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: About the Book, for the Website Begun as a scholarly work of religious and psychiatric import, 9/11 and its aftershocks has turned this work on messianism to the task of survival of our civilization. For the core motivations of widely disparate people Islamic terrorists, Israeli settlers, and American fundamentalists are frankly messianic. And they are positioned to move the world towards a disaster long depicted in apocalyptic terms on the Plains of Abraham, but now also present in our midst. A degree of self sacrifice is present in messianism, ranging from the purely spiritual to full expression in the Islamic terrorist who glories in a physical immolation that leads to eternal life. The crucial issue for the rest of us lies in its imperative nature, calling for the termination of our lives. Can we reach such people, who live in these other spiritual worlds, and who threaten to evict us from ours? They live in the certitude and rectitude of their cause, and are intolerant of the ambiguity of modern civilization. Their certitude lies in a strangely similar belief in a messenger of God who brings tidings of the End of Days on earth, and a coming glory in a heavenly company, populated by God and the principal figures of their religion. Each of these religions has its own visionary, man of God, or messiah, extant or to come. My thesis is that the key to reaching such imbued people, so alienated from the rest of us, is through utilization of the little we know of reaching alienated individuals and groups. That knowledge has been chiefly developed in asylums by the original alienists, psychiatrists, also the social and political sciences and the pastoral discipline. The Messianic Imperative: Scourge or Savior is offered as a contribution to that study. More so, it is offered as a journey into unfamiliar terrain. It may hopefully lead to a manual for action on the part of people, worldwide, alert to the current danger, who wish to contribute to the world family aborning in these parlous times.
