Download or read book Megan s father falls ill written by Owen Jones and published by Tektime. This book was released on 2022-07-04 with total page 75 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Megan is a thirteen-year-old teenage girl, who realises that she has psychic powers that others do not have. At first, she tried to talk to her mother about them, but with disastrous consequences, so she learned to keep quiet about them. However, some people do offer to help and an animal showed a special friendship, but they were not 'alive' in the normal sense of the word. They had passed on. Megan has three such friends: Wacinhinsha, her Spirit Guide, who had been Sioux in his last life on Earth; her maternal grandfather, Gramps and a huge Siberian tiger called Grrr. Wacinhinsha is extremely knowledgeable in all things spiritual, psychic and paranormal; her grandfather is a novice 'dead person' and Grrr can only speak Tiger, as one might imagine and most of that, of course is unintelligible to humans. In 'Megan's Father Falls Ill', Megan is concerned about her father's health, because she has never seen him ill before, so she decides to try using her psychic powers to cure him. In the end, she uses a combination of her gifts and the Internet to discover ways to help him recover. Wacinhinsha gives her a lecture on medicine and its application, especially from the Spiritualist point of view. Translator: Owen Jones PUBLISHER: TEKTIME

Download or read book Megan s christmas written by Owen Jones and published by Tektime. This book was released on 2022-08-25 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Megan’s Christmas, it is Christmas time, and that means school holidays are near, but Megan is not too keen to finish school just yet! The last day of Christmas term is one of her favourites of the school year. However, Megan gets to thinking about how she can make this year different from all the others, and so discusses it with her best friend, Jane. They come up with a great idea to make their Christmas special and help some less fortunate local folk at the same time. Christmas goes well, but Megan learns a lot about how others have to experience it, and finds out a few truths from her Spirit Guide, Wacinhinsha too. All in all, it is a memorable and instructive experience for both girls The Psychic Megan Series consists of twenty-four novelettes about a young girl's growing realisation that she is able to do things that none of her family can. Megan is twelve years old in the first volume. She has two seemingly insurmountable problems. Her mother is frightened of her daughter's latent abilities and not only will not help her but actively discourages her; and she can’t find a teacher to help her develop her supernatural, psychic powers. For she wants not only to know what it is possible to do and how to do it, but to what end she should put her special abilities. Megan is a good girl, so it would seem obvious that she would tend towards using her powers for good, but it is not always easy to do the right thing even if you know what that is. These stories about Megan will appeal to anyone who has an interest in psychic powers, the supernatural and the paranormal and is between the ages of ten and a hundred years old. But not twelve-year-old Shiloh Carvelus and her best friend, eleven-year-old Leah Cassidy. Shiloh is outspoken, curious, marvels in adventure, and is intrigued with Native American culture. Leah is the opposite; she’s shy but never refuses an outing with her friend. She's drawn to Shiloh's free-spirited adventures. Shiloh convinces Leah to accompany her to the forest in search of special herbs. Shiloh scans the ground looking for her plants and chats to Leah while swinging her basket of the Chippewa's, believing certain herbs possess the powers to heal and ward off evil spirits. Leah stays close behind, and she is unnerved when the swaying shadows of the trees make the hair on the back of her neck tingle. Neither of the girls expect an encounter beyond their imagination. Leah begs Shiloh to turn and run for their lives. But Shiloh stretches out her hand to touch the soft muzzle of the most beautiful horse she has ever seen, tall and majestic, head held high like an empress. The girls became mesmerized by this horse that can talk through a thought process. Together, the three create a friendship, but a greater bond develops between Shiloh and Beautiful. Soon, Shiloh discovers the horse can fly. Together, Shiloh and Beautiful help Leah overcome her fears as they set off for an adventure of a lifetime.

Download or read book Ersatz Manor written by Peter Brodowski and published by First Edition Design Pub.. This book was released on 2018-04-17 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Psychosis stole into her mind like a demented thief, incorporating deviant ideas and cultivating a new personality to derail the original. Thoughts that others would have dismissed as bizarre started to take shape and grow roots. They started to make sense in one epiphany after another, forging new horizons, luring her further and further from the original course until she was so far astray that it seemed right and good. Natalie cried nearly nonstop for the first 24 hours after birth and for the first six months had difficulty sleeping, exhibited frequent bouts of trembling and twitching, and had difficulty gaining weight. Then after six months those symptoms disappeared, she grew like a weed and for all intense and purpose Natalie settled into a seemingly normal childhood. That is as normal as a preschooler can be who hears and converses with voices in her head. During the early school years, she delighted in capturing, torturing and ultimately killing animals. She had no difficulty with social interaction especially with boys and adults in authority or in carrying out daily life activities. Therefore, it is not clear when or where Natalie went insane. Whether it burst upon her suddenly one day like the big bang theory of the universe or crept upon her slowly and insidiously, bending her to its will, but insane she was. In high school she amused herself by murdering those that she took a dislike to and strangers for the sheer challenge and excitement she derived from killing. Her life was idyllic for the six years after high school, traveling the world, indulging in her favorite pastime as the mood struck. Until she received that e-mail from Ersatz Manor for the 10-year high school reunion. The return to home was the beginning of the end--in more ways than one.
