Download or read book Amazing Minds Mazes written by John Tittensor and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2008-04 with total page 83 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When I started my mazes I just did them to pass the time away. People would stop and look at them and ask me how they worked. So I decided to do some easy mazes so they could understand them more. Once they understood the concept it would be easier for them to finish. They would be so excited about them, they would want me to make more. It became the challenge of the minds, I would make the mazes harder so they wouldn't bug me so soon for another. My mazes have some easy, some harder and then they get crazy. Will I be preached to, about making a maze puzzle book. I was told "this was the greatest thing since the wheel." Ha ha ha. I don't think it's all that, but I'm very proud of it. Please call me anytime for your opinions. 1-734-732-2048. John Tittensor Jr.
Download or read book TraderMind written by Steve Ward and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2014-11-24 with total page 262 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Become a savvy trader with a "mindful" edge... TraderMind is an essential resource for understanding and applying mindfulness-based approaches that help to enhance an individual trader's overall performance. Based upon extensive research and practical application in the real world of the trading floor, TraderMind includes methods, tactics and techniques to build and enhance awareness and insight, which help manage thoughts and emotions and maximize trading performance. The author demonstrates how to overcome habitual or impulsive trading behaviours, manage energy levels, become more attuned to and responsive to the market, more situationally aware and build patterns of effective trading behaviour. By developing these skills and good behaviours, traders can overcome inherent biases and, ultimately, improve their trading decisions. The techniques outlined in TraderMind can be utilized as core competencies of trading psychology or can be used to complement other behavioural methods and strategies. The TraderMind tool-set does not replace the need for basic trading skills, knowledge, strategy, or key performance enablers such as preparation and performance analysis. Rather, TraderMind is designed to act as a facilitator or multiplier to enhance trader decision-making and improve overall performance. "A thoughtful read with 'bang-for-the buck' practical strategies for time pressed traders." – Linda Raschke, President at LBRGroup, Inc., CTA Also includes the TraderMind 8 Week Training Program.

Download or read book Exploring Representation in Evolutionary Level Design written by Daniel Ashlock and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-05-31 with total page 141 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Automatic content generation is the production of content for games, web pages, or other purposes by procedural means. Search-based automatic content generation employs search-based algorithms to accomplish automatic content generation. This book presents a number of different techniques for search-based automatic content generation where the search algorithm is an evolutionary algorithm. The chapters treat puzzle design, the creation of small maps or mazes, the use of L-systems and a generalization of L-system to create terrain maps, the use of cellular automata to create maps, and, finally, the decomposition of the design problem for large, complex maps culminating in the creation of a map for a fantasy game module with designersupplied content and tactical features. The evolutionary algorithms used for the different types of content are generic and similar, with the exception of the novel sparse initialization technique are presented in Chapter 2. The points where the content generation systems vary are in the design of their fitness functions and in the way the space of objects being searched is represented. A large variety of different fitness functions are designed and explained, and similarly radically different representations are applied to the design of digital objects all of which are, essentially, maps for use in games.
