Dentofacial orthopedics, including rapid maxillary expansion and extraoral traction, as well as functional jaw orthopedics (Herbst, Twin Block, FR-2 of Fränkel, Bionator) and molar distalizing appliances (Pendulum, Distal Jet, Wilson distalizing arch) then are considered. The management of Class III malocclusion with the orthopedic facial mask, the chin cup and the FR-3 of Fränkel also are discussed in detail. The book also includes two extensive chapters on interdisciplinary treatment written by Vincent G. Kokich, as well as chapters on finishing and retention protocols.
