Esto implica la repetición de ejercicios básicos matemáticos, que progresivamente se hacen más complejos, hasta que el alumno adquiere una gran destreza en las operaciones matemáticas. El libro fue elaborado después de efectuar un estudio muy detallado del contenido programático de la matemática en los diferentes años en Educación Primaria y del análisis de la metodología utilizada, que me dio como resultado un aprendizaje mecánico, sin razonamiento y lógica matemática. Esto unido a la grata experiencia que tuve hace algunos años al, dictar clase y aplicar una nueva metodología en los cursos de primer año en el colegio que estoy trabajando actualmente, me permitió desarrollar los objetivos del programa de matemática, de manera agradable para los estudiantes. Tanto las actividades que se realizaban en clase, como las que se asignaban diariamente para la casa, tenían una parte recreativa, dando como resultado una excelente motivación no sólo de los estudiantes sino también de las personas de su entorno familiar. Poco a poco aumentó el nivel de razonamiento lógico, proporcionando al estudiante un nivel de autoconfianza y las habilidades necesarias para un buen aprendizaje matemático. Estos cursos, por desarrollar una buena base matemática, finalizaron exitosamente sus estudios en el colegio. Para elaborar su contenido se ha tomado en cuenta una serie de características muy importantes: Se ha realizado un gran esfuerzo para que el libro sea claro y preciso; que los estudiantes puedan leer y entender. Las actividades recreativas utilizadas son de interés para el alumnado. En cada unidad se proponen una serie de actividades, con su respuesta final en la parte recreativas, con la finalidad que el alumno aprenda a razonar. La variedad y el número de aplicaciones importantes a lo largo de las diferentes unidades del libro, debe convencer a los estudiantes o cualquier persona interesada en desarrollarlo, que la matemática es verdadera, útil e interesante para la vida de las personas. Las unidades están ordenadas de tal modo que facilite la comprensión de cada una de ellas y puede utilizarse como texto para el primer año de Educación Media General. Al final del libro hay cuatro juegos matemáticos para que lo puedan disfrutar en familia. En el desarrollo de las actividades y los juegos matemáticos no deben ser utilizadas las calculadoras, en ningún momento, para que desarrollo del razonamiento sea exitoso. El objetivo principal es que el alumno adquiera en Primer Año de Educación Media, una buena base aprendizaje de la matemática que le conduzca a finalizar exitosamente todos los estudios que realizará posteriormente.
