Download or read book Star Struck written by Udit Basu and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2011-11 with total page 105 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is about how a twelve-year-old sees the universe. Through this book, I have tried to arouse in other kids my age interest about the tiny dots of light that one can see in the night sky. I hope that after reading the book, many kids like me around the world will look at the night sky differently.
Download or read book Highlights of Astronomy Volume 14 written by Karel van der Hucht and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2008-01-21 with total page 758 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recording the proceedings of the IAU XXVI General Assembly, this volume of the IAU Highlights of Astronomy covers virtually all aspects of modern astrophysics as discussed by 2400 participants from 73 countries. Notably, the common aspects of astrophysical phenomena known to exist in widely differing interstellar environments is thoroughly examined, providing fertile cross correlation from one specialisation to another. This text highlights the importance of the triennial IAU General Assemblies in bringing together the work of observers and theoreticians in widely different fields, but working towards a common goal: understanding the physics of the Universe. Together with the Proceedings of the IAU Symposia 235-240, this volume examines all of the astrophysics presented at the General Assembly.
Download or read book Nanohertz Gravitational Wave Astronomy written by Stephen R. Taylor and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2021-11-23 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nanohertz Gravitational Wave Astronomy explores the exciting hunt for low frequency gravitational waves by using the extraordinary timing precision of pulsars. The book takes the reader on a tour across the expansive gravitational-wave landscape, from LIGO detections to the search for polarization patterns in the Cosmic Microwave Background, then hones in on the band of nanohertz frequencies that Pulsar Timing Arrays (PTAs) are sensitive to. Within this band may lie many pairs of the most massive black holes in the entire Universe, all radiating in chorus to produce a background of gravitational waves. The book shows how such extra-Galactic gravitational waves can alter the arrival times of radio pulses emanating from monitored Galactic pulsars, and how we can use the pattern of correlated timing deviations from many pulsars to tease out the elusive signal. The book takes a pragmatic approach to data analysis, explaining how it is performed in practice within classical and Bayesian statistics, as well as the numerous strategies one can use to optimize numerical Bayesian searches in PTA analyses. It closes with a complete discussion of the data model for nanohertz gravitational wave searches, and an overview of the past achievements, present efforts, and future prospects for PTAs. The book is accessible to upper division undergraduate students and graduate students of astronomy, and also serves as a useful desk reference for experts in the field. Key features: Contains a complete derivation of the pulsar timing response to gravitational waves, and the overlap reduction function for PTAs. Presents a comprehensive overview of source astrophysics, and the dynamical influences that shape the gravitational wave signals that PTAs are sensitive to. Serves as a detailed primer on gravitational-wave data analysis and numerical Bayesian techniques for PTAs.
Download or read book The Creation of the Physical Universe to Heaven to Hell and Back Again written by Earl Thomas O’Farrell and published by LifeRich Publishing. This book was released on 2019-08-29 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Explore how the physical universe was created as well as the spiritual version that explains our existence. While it’s up to you to decide which version to believe, this book shows that both explanations are remarkably similar as the same events had to occur with both. Earl Thomas O’Farrell draws on his decades of experience as a researcher of religious beliefs, astrophysical theories, and the cosmology of the universe to examine the spiritual and scientific beginnings of the universe, the importance of magnetism, what the Big Bang created, the significance of the Higgs Boson, and the evolutionary process of energy matter. He also examines the theories of scientists such as Albert Einstein, where dark matter and dark energy come from (and how they work), celestial matter, and the creation of space, time, and light. Take a big step forward in understanding the world and decide for yourself the role God plays in our lives—if any—with the facts and insights in this book that explores the origins of the universe.
Download or read book You Must Win The winner can create History written by Ahmed Sayeed and published by Prowess Publishing. This book was released on 2019-08-10 with total page 392 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The latest book "You Must Win" contains a similar subject of humans should get freed from the Cage of Theology or Dogmatism. My Contention is that "The Earth will be it's own when heavens are destroyed. The book Human Achievement contain the same message, first Know thyself" then only you can know the world, your society, your fellow being, your kith, and kins. I wish that the Book would enlighten the reader with an advise "that when we know nothing of the first Principle, it is truly extravagant to define God, Angels, Heavens, and minds to know precisely why God formed world when we do not know why we pray and raise our arms at our will" It advocates that Society is a growth in time, not syllogism in Logic and when the past is out through the door, it comes in at the windows. It guides to show precisely by what changes we can diminish misery and injustice in the world in which we actually live. A real Human who owns Humanity would automatically reject the story of "Adam and Eve" Let us live what is provided with and regarding the growth of Human life both physically and psychologically let us leave the matter to Scientists and to socialists. Socialist concern must be to lead a life peacefully, ethically, contently after attaining bask biological and social needs and this may contend as my message as an author to the readers in particular and humanity in general.

Download or read book Recycling Universe A Total and Complete Star Theory About the Origins of Star Galaxies written by James Keith Leedy and published by PublishAmerica. This book was released on 2012-07-16 with total page 38 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Since early cavemen sat around campfires on starlit nights, they've wondered where were the stars and the moon that lit the sky at night and why does this hot sun spread warmth and light? These are questions we've been motivated to answer throughout every civilization on Earth. Were the answers lost in time or were the reasons written in the stars for all of time? Searching for enlightenment, I've always believed there was something very meaningful I was meant to achieve; the truth. While writing Recycling Universe, sometimes I felt like I was filling in words that fate had already written. Recycling Universe is destined to be a prevailing star theory. Standing by the laws of physics, this marvelous star theory justifies the reality of eternal creation. Recycling Universe is a universal and most magnificent manifesto meant for all of mankind and for the rest of his time."
