Book Interrogatio Iohannis The Secret Book of the Cathars and Apokryphon Iohannis The Secret Book of John

Download or read book Interrogatio Iohannis The Secret Book of the Cathars and Apokryphon Iohannis The Secret Book of John written by M.P. Steiner and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2020-02-18 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Modern text research shows that biblical tradition often does not at all correspond to real historical events. This lessens neither the inner significance of the Bible nor of true Christendom, for, true Christendom is more than just a religion: It is the spiritual Sphere of Life that embraces all Worlds with all their Mysteries. Some results of modern research as collected and presented here in a dense form, clearly contradict canonical narratives, and might provoke different reactions: from condescendent shaking of heads to apalled outcries. But neither will diminish their validity. After 2000 years of nominal Christianism it is now time to animate truly spiritual Christendom. This new Christendom is, on one side, a renewal of the classical antique Mysteries, with the Christ Jesus as the last and greatest Avatar of the "Sun Spirit descended to Earth" as the "Redemptor of theWorld", and on the other, a complete renewal of religious thinking and feeling of humans, everyone now being summoned to realize their potential "microcosmical Cristos" in today's spiritual freedom with its world-wide new paradigmata. The two texts published here in best possible accuracy, are especially important because, combined with a deeply founded introduction, they at last publicly present the world of faith of the true Arch-Christians of the first centuries, and their comprehension of events "from Bethlehem to Golgotha". Based on said insights, the book here in hand undertakes to define a new Christendom for a new Era: A Christendom that must not just be believed in sheepish obedience, but lived out of mature consciousness and in a daily effort of every single human. Its purpose is to encourage a large number of people to experience this new Light, Truth and Life. Numerous book-references, many in part extensive notes, and a number of full-page images show the credibility of the new view, and enlarge the usual dogmatic picture.- A book that, read in a leisurly pace and with open soul and heart , may bring about new clarity and a new vivid faith for the old message. Book excerpt: A quasi-religious corporation worth mentioning is the Fabretto Foundation, based in Nicaragua. This Foundation is a true God Enterprise. Father Rafael Mara Fabretto was an Italian priest who moved to Nicaragua with the purpose of opening and managing an orphanage . . . It was a catastrophic failure. Father Fabrettos experiment almost killed me, together with other kids who were rescued at the brink of starvation. Ironically, it was Anastasio Somoza (the father, the first member of the Somoza dynasty) who saved our lives . . . The continuum works in marvelous ways; just picture a hated, soft-hearted tyrant being impacted by the sight of more than 300 children starving to death. I bet his conscience screamed to his inner ears that he was going to be blamed if some of those children were to die . . . Somoza was moved by the continuum to do what is atypical of dictators, an act of love. The author, Manuel S. Marin, as a child, lived for a short time in the Oratorio San Juan Bosco, where he met Father Rafael Mara Fabretto, who lighted up in him the notion of the continuum, for which he didnt have a name until he met Bob Jones at Williams Brothers Construction Co.

Book Grey Wolf

Download or read book Grey Wolf written by Simon Dunstan and published by Union Square + ORM. This book was released on 2011-10-04 with total page 341 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did Hitler—code name “Grey Wolf”—really die in 1945? Gripping new evidence shows what could have happened. The basis for the titular documentary. When Truman asked Stalin in 1945 whether Hitler was dead, Stalin replied bluntly, “No.” As late as 1952, Eisenhower declared: “We have been unable to unearth one bit of tangible evidence of Hitler’s death.” What really happened? Simon Dunstan and Gerrard Williams have compiled extensive evidence—some recently declassified—that Hitler actually fled Berlin and took refuge in a remote Nazi enclave in Argentina. The recent discovery that the famous “Hitler’s skull” in Moscow is female, as well as newly uncovered documents, provide powerful proof for their case. Dunstan and Williams cite people, places, and dates in over 500 detailed notes that identify the plan’s escape route, vehicles, aircraft, U-boats, and hideouts. Among the details: the CIA’s possible involvement and Hitler’s life in Patagonia—including his two daughters. “Describes a ghastly pantomime played out in the names of the Fuhrer and the woman who had been his mistress.” —The Sun “Grey Wolf is more than a conspiracy yarn . . . Its authors show Hitler’s escape was possible . . . a gripping read.” —South China Morning Post “Remarkable detail.” —Sir David Frost, Frost Over the World “Stunning saga of intrigue.” —Pravda “Stunning account of the last days of the Reich.” —Parapolitical.com “I thought the book was hugely thought-provoking and explores some of the untold, murky loose ends of World War Two.” —Dan Snow, broadcaster and historian, The One Show BBC 1 “Laid out in lavish detail.” —Daily Mail

Download or read book Senhora written by José de Alencar and published by University of Texas Press. This book was released on 2010-06-04 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "It is a truth universally acknowledged . . ." that a single woman in possession of a good character but no fortune must be in want of a wealthy husband—that is, if she is the heroine of a nineteenth-century novel. Senhora, by contrast, turns the tables on this familiar plot. Its strong-willed, independent heroine Aurélia uses newly inherited wealth to "buy back" and exact revenge on the fiancé who had left her for a woman with a more enticing dowry. This exciting Brazilian novel, originally published in 1875 and here translated into English for the first time, raises many questions about traditional gender relationships, the commercial nature of marriage, and the institution of the dowry. While conventional marital roles triumph in the end, the novel still offers realistic insights into the social and economic structure of Rio de Janeiro in the mid-1800s. With its unexpected plot, it also opens important new perspectives on the nineteenth-century Romantic novel.

Download or read book The Aesthetics of Melancholia written by Luis F. López González and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2023-01-06 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores the intersection between medicine and literature in medieval Iberian literature and culture. Its overarching argument is that thirteenth- and fourteenth-century Iberian authors revalorized the interconnection between the body, the mind, and the soul in light of the evolving epistemology of medicine. Prior to the reintroduction of classical medical treatises through Arab authors into European cultures, mental disorders and bodily diseases were primarily attributed to moral corruption, demonic influence, and superstition. The introduction of novel regimens of health as well as treatises on melancholia into academic institutions and into the cultural landscape provided the tools for newly minted authors to understand that psychosomatic illnesses stemmed from malfunctions of the body's biochemical composition. This book demonstrates that the earliest books written in the Iberian vernaculars contain the seeds that effect the shift from a theocentric worldview to a humanistic one. The volume features close readings of multiple texts, including medical treatises and religious writings, and King Alfonso X's Cantigas de Santa Maria, Juan Manuel's Conde Lucanor, and Juan Ruiz's Libro de buen amor. Even though these texts differ in literary genre, rhetorical strategy, and even purpose, this study argues that they collectively employ humoral pathology and melancholic discourses as a means of underscoring the frailty and transience of human life by showing how somatic conditions sicken the body, mind, and soul unto death.
