Attaining excellence doesn’t have to be unsettling but it will take committed focus and a desire to parent well according to God’s grace and for His glory. Mama, you are worthy of the awesome responsibility God has given you. Now it’s time to start believing you can live up to it.

Download or read book Mad Politics written by Gina Loudon and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2018-09-04 with total page 258 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, America has been insane for decades. We've elected establishment politicians on both sides of the aisle; we've hoped for change; and we've been disappointed. But with the election of Donald Trump, America tried something new. So we have to ask ourselves: what if Trump isn't the crazy man that the media pretends he is? What if he's actually the cure for a country who's been going mad for years? In Mad Politics, Fox News commentator, radio host, and psychological analyst Dr. Gina Loudon diagnoses the problem with America's status quo politics. Loudon has unique insight into both the Trump campaign and the larger political landscape as a member of the president's 2020 media advisory board, a former surrogate for his campaign, the wife of a former Senator from Missouri, the co-host of a national Television show, a seasoned psychological analyst on FOX News, CNN and others, and a twice pedigreed Master and Ph.D. With authority and wit, Mad Politics exposes cultural patterns that have led to today's political narcissism. She scans the psychological literature and illuminates a formula to answer the question: How can we restore a sound mind to the body politic? The answer, Loudon concludes, may be in joining Trump in a complete rejection of political correctness.

At nineteen, she was too naïve to heed the warning signs, and she raced blindly down a path that destroyed her soaring ballet career and pushed her to close herself off to any romantic interest. Thirty years later, Maggie’s first glimpse of rancher Dax Pearson makes her heart stutter in an all-too-familiar way. This time, she’s determined to keep a tight rein on the impulse to throw away her hard-won independence. She’s not looking to get herself roped in by a handsome face, but Dax’s winning charm and gentle touch gradually begin to work their magic, and soon Maggie’s tempted to once again attempt the dance of love. Letting go of the past isn’t easy, though, especially when it has choreographed her life for so long. Breaking free of its familiar rhythm could expose her deepest shame…and shatter her heart beyond repair.

Book Sorry Not Sorry

  • Author : Haji Mohamed Dawjee
  • Publisher : Penguin Random House South Africa
  • Release : 2018-04-01
  • ISBN : 1776092678
  • Pages : 136 pages

Download or read book Sorry Not Sorry written by Haji Mohamed Dawjee and published by Penguin Random House South Africa. This book was released on 2018-04-01 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why don’t white people understand that Converse tekkies are not just cool but a political statement to people of colour? Why is it that South Africans of colour don’t really ‘write what we like’? What’s the deal with people pretending to be ‘woke’? Is Islam really as antifeminist as is claimed? What does it feel like to be a brown woman in a white media corporation? And what life lessons can we learn from Bollywood movies? In Sorry, Not Sorry, Haji Mohamed Dawjee explores the often maddening experience of moving through post-apartheid South Africa as a woman of colour. In characteristically candid style, she pulls no punches when examining the social landscape: from arguing why she’d rather deal with an open racist than some liberal white people, to drawing on her own experience to convince readers that joining a cult is never a good idea. In the provocative voice that has made Mohamed Dawjee one of our country’s most talked-about columnists, she offers observations laced with an acerbic wit. Sorry, Not Sorry will make readers laugh, wince, nod, introspect and argue.

Book Lost in MultiSpace

    Book Details:
  • Author : William Allan
  • Publisher : Page Publishing Inc
  • Release : 2022-08-01
  • ISBN : 1646284097
  • Pages : 196 pages

Download or read book Lost in MultiSpace written by William Allan and published by Page Publishing Inc. This book was released on 2022-08-01 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the story of a man's impossible journey back home. His name is Odis, or Ottis, or some variation of Odysseus, as a nod to another impossible journey, although the similarity ends with his name. It is also the story of humans' impossible journey to leave the nest, with infinite choices leading to disaster and infinite more leading to stagnation. If one man can find his way home to teach the one way off the planet Earth, humanity may survive the galactic collision with Andromeda. As an author, I see that the current climate is publishers clamoring for LGBTQ characters. It is tempting to pander to that demand. Instead I chose as my main character's relationship one based on domination and submission. Having the privilege of knowing some extraordinarily loving couples in the D/S community, I observe they are still often treated as politically incorrect in a world supposedly now open to diversity. My main character needed an extraordinary relationship to continue to face impossible odds against getting back home, which for him was wherever his other half was. If you are unfamiliar with the D/S community, you may get a look at a relationship where, like real-world D/S relationships, the sexually submissive half is often the dominant decision maker. The protagonist comes from a world far more medically advanced than our own, where disease is a historical artifact, pregnancy a choice, and even genetic defects have simple cures. In such a world, there is no biological backlash from the sex act, so most of the world has left monogamy behind. Our protagonists choose monogamy in a world that now considers it quaint, but their torrid relationship leaves them forever satisfied.

Book The Road Warrior After God s Own Heart

Download or read book The Road Warrior After God s Own Heart written by Bryan Paul Buckley and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2023-10-16 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The road. Those that travel for business know what I mean by the challenge of the road. The road is hard: from staying in shape, eating, and getting any rest to keeping up with the work, connecting with your family back home, and just finding a few minutes to yourself to think and catch your breath. Then you add the relentless distractions and temptations that only a road warrior knows and experiences. The evil one whispers everything from "Nobody will ever know" to It's the cost of doing business to win or keep the deal so it's okay, right?" The guilt, shame, and regret of the spiritual road warrior are all too often overwhelming and paralyzing. One of my biggest challenges on the road is not only finding time alone with God, but specially reading something that can relate to my life as a business traveler. Until now. So, why David? And what does he have to do with the life of a business traveler? Plenty.
