The Holy Spirit wants to be invited into our inner core and take residence there. As a little girl, I loved this song we sang often at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Sunday School, "There is a flag flowing high from the castle of my heart and the King is a residence there" (author unknown). When we allow it to shine through us, we become the pulse of God's love. We are His endless love; His spirit encircles us and emanates peace. I pray each person reading these words feels the peace of God flowing as they are touched. I pray your heart is on fire for Him and you allow Him to take the lead from within the innermost core, your HEART.

The Taoists have a beautiful way of expressing it. Lao Tzu said, “Muddy water, let stand, becomes clear.” Clarity is one of the many gifts of contemplation, and as we build a capacity for the inner journey, a sacred world is revealed in the mirror of the soul.
