El primer paso para su elaboración fue revisar la literatura existente relativa a los indicadores de aprovisionamiento, almacenamiento, distribución, servicio al cliente, logística inversa, responsabilidad social empresarial y costos logísticos; a partir de esta revisión, para cada una de las áreas mencionadas se diseñaron instrumentos de aplicación práctica que permiten mejorar los problemas de logística interna en las empresas. Tomando como base los instrumentos construidos, se desarrolló el sistema de información para la gestión logística empresarial, que sirve de soporte a la toma de decisiones. En cada una de las empresas estudiadas se realizó un diagnóstico que cumple con la función de línea base. Este sistema de gestión está siendo implementado por 104 empresas del país, en las ciudades de Barrancabermeja, Cali, Cartagena, Cúcuta, Neiva, Orito, Tibú, Villavicencio y Yopal.English Abstract: This paper presents the methodology, design and results of the logistics management information system implementation in order to support the supply chain management decision making. The first step was to review existing indicators such as supply, warehousing, transportation, distribution, customer service, reverse logistics, risk logistics and logistics costs. Additional tools were designed for each of these areas that will improve internal logistics problems of companies. Based on these tools, the development of the logistics management information system was done in order to support the decision making of the business. Every enterprise completed a diagnostic to form a line base. This management system has been implemented in 104 businesses in Colombia at the cities Barrancabermeja, Cali, Cartagena, Cúcuta, Neiva, Orito, Tibú, Villavicencio, and Yopal.
