Book Additional Finite Element Method for Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Structures at Limit States

Download or read book Additional Finite Element Method for Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Structures at Limit States written by Ermakova A.V. and published by Издательство АСВ. This book was released on 2012 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The work presents the theoretical basis of Additional Finite Element Method (AFEM), which is a variant of the Finite Element Method (FEM) for analysis of reinforced concrete structures at limit state. AFEM adds to the traditional sequence of problem by FEM the units of the two well-known methods of the structural design: method of additional loads and limit state method. The problem is solved by introduction of ideal failure models and additional design diagrams formed from additional finite elements, where each AFE describes the limit state reached by the main element. The main relations defining the properties of AFEs as well as the examples of the use of Additional Finite Element Method for analysis of reinforced concrete structures at limit state are given in the work too.

Book Design Principles and Analysis of Thin Concrete Shells Domes and Folders

Download or read book Design Principles and Analysis of Thin Concrete Shells Domes and Folders written by Iakov Iskhakov and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2015-11-16 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of the main goals of a good and effective structural design is to decrease, as far as possible, the self-weight of structures, because they must carry the service load. This is especially important for reinforced concrete (RC) structures, as the self-weight of the material is substantial. For RC structures it is furthermore important that the w

Book Ultimate limit state design models a state of art report

Download or read book Ultimate limit state design models a state of art report written by FIB – International Federation for Structural Concrete and published by FIB - International Federation for Structural Concrete. This book was released on 1995-06-01 with total page 247 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first part of the report is devoted to linear elements (beams, columns) and includes chapters on shear and flexure in beams, ultimate limit state design of prestressed beams, and of reinforced concrete members under combination of bending with axial load and shear, of beams subjected to torsion, and a chapter on shear design based on truss models with crack friction. The second part treats two-dimensional elements and includes background information on ULS design of wall, shell, and slab elements. lt concludes with a chapter on axisymmetric punching of slabs.

Book Simplified Shear Design of Structural Concrete Members
