In Belgium alone there are upwards of 700 miles of Light Railways, With a capital of nearly sterling; While Hungary has also over 2300 miles, With a gross revenue of per annum. Saxony, Switzerland, Italy, and France have all their local railways and tramways, and in Germany the system has been so far developed that a Light Railway periodical has been in existence since 1874.
