His contribution to the making of India’s Constitution of his understanding and the breadth of his national vision. --- Dr. Kalam has the capacity to ignite a million more minds. What a mind! All his speeches are cerebral and inspiring. He worked hard, selflessly and for long hours, led an austere life in an opulent palace. Simplicity, patriotism, equanimity rectitude are the hallmarks of Dr. Kalam.

Though Westerners have often perceived India as a place of endless spirituality and unreasoning mysticism, he underlines its long tradition of skepticism and reasoning, not to mention its secular contributions to mathematics, astronomy, linguistics, medicine, and political economy.
