Book Homosexuality FAQs A Christian Perspective eBook

Download or read book Homosexuality FAQs A Christian Perspective eBook written by Daniel Lim & Ian Toh and published by CCL Publications Pte Ltd 新加坡福音证主协会. This book was released on 2022-07-22 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Homosexuality is not a recent phenomenon or a newly emerged issue. It exists since the ancient time despite the suppression by tradition and culture. It started to surface in recent years as technology and media have developed in racing speed. The society has become more open and acceptive to the topic; people started to reflect on the traditional thinking on human relationship; voices and discussions regarding homosexuality are getting common. The word “homosexuality” which merely means same sex relationship in the past has evolved to LGBTQ which covers Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgenders and Queers nowadays. Although there are more discussions, do we truly understand LGBTQ? How should we discern the right and wrong? From Christian perspective, how should see it and live with its community? Does the Bible provide us the answer? In the past, when religions are confronted by issues of homosexuality and LGBTQ, they would quickly jump into a conclusion such as “sin”, “against the nature”, “promiscuity”, “unclean” etc. On one hand, religious communities subconsciously hold different attitudes and mindsets toward LGBTQ community; on the other hand, media coverage and celebrity influence exalt the revolution and advocacy of LGBTQ, so that people or religious bodies who hold different point of views may be labeled as “conservative”, “old-fashioned”, “traditional”, “conventional” etc. Over time, a gap has formed between LGBTQ and religious communities. Nevertheless, before we decide between the right and wrong, or give people a label of unrighteousness, could we jump out of the endless quarrel, opposition, or criticism? Could we adjust our perspective to understand, to observe and to contemplate the matter, so that we can better serve this community and walk with them with the love of Christ while we hold on to the law and principle of God? “Homosexuality FAQs – A Christian Perspective” is a wonderful guide for Churches. It helps readers to understand the issue more comprehensively, find out the viewpoints of the Bible, and learn how to reach out and serve LGBTQ community. This book clears doubts and confusions on LGBTQ through 10 questions in the first section. It tries to rebut general arguments from objective and scientific perspective. In the second section, it discusses LGBTQ from biblical perspective through 16 questions. Lastly, the editors laid out 6 questions to discuss the relation between Christians and the society on LGBTQ issue. Each answer begins with “quick response” to give readers the key concept, then followed by elaboration and more supplementary information. This structure is clear and easy to follow. What I appreciate the most is that it does not merely lay out a pile of data and evidence, but also shares ministry tips at the end of some answers, so that readers can break through the frame of merely knowledge, thinking and critique; and more important they can learn how to bridge the gap between the LGBTQ and us, counsel and serve LGBTQ community. Whether you want to know more the issue or feel the burden to serve the LGBTQ community, this book is worth to read. Bishop Dr Titus Chung Anglican Diocese of Singapore President, National Council of Churches of Singapore

Book The Ultimate African Solution Race First Brick

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ever since I came into being, I’ve often wondered about the real purpose for my existence. I observe the surrounding elements, the sun, the moon, the astronomical number of stars and galaxies, and to be a part of this universal expanse, makes me believe that there is much more to this equation, than being born, live, then die. I arrived on this earth through the African bloodline and it didn’t take long to notice the vast discrepancies amongst the races, where Africans are thoroughly overlooked on the world stage. We are underrepresented in regards to important decisions been made above our heads and disrespect of the Black race is “IN YOUR FACE” blatant. A Black person born today will endure the same fate as Black people did a hundred years ago and the system is designed to maintain Africans in the same dependent position for many generations to come. Black people in the western hemisphere has been geared to only strive for an elusive equality, when reunification with Mother Africa should be our ultimate goal to achieve racial parity. THE ULTIMATE AFRICAN SOLUTION will solve all of Black people’s problems and provide the whole African race with one hundred percent employment for this, and future generations. The negative effects that slavery and colonialism has on the African’s psyche, must be affectedly nullified first and foremost, in order to step up in race. There are numerous steps to take to overcome the mental struggles caused from the enslavement of the mind syndrome and ridding the African race of “self-hate” tops the list. Africans!!! It is imperative that we revel in each other’s successes and instead of willfully keeping ourselves down, we offer helping hands to pick each other up. Africa is due reparation for the atrocities that our ancestors had to bear, in order for the two races here in question, to be able to truly coexist as nature intended. Fighting on their behalf, to make right them being wronged throughout five hundred years of recent history and still counting, will allow our deserving ancestors to finally rest in peace. THE ULTIMATE AFRICAN SOLUTION will be achieved without any human beings losing their lives. No one have to die.

Book Living Beyond Nightfall

Download or read book Living Beyond Nightfall written by Troy Buckner and published by First Edition Design Pub.. This book was released on 2015-10-05 with total page 123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Living Beyond Nightfall – Troy Buckner's real life journey to wholeness... The world is about to read a true story filled with pain, disappointment and one woman's emotional fight for her life and that of her four wonderful sons. Buckner's story will take you to the very depths of despair and show you peace beyond understanding. It will reveal how her belief in the betterment of her community and love for her culture left her struggling to survive through a felonious alleged embezzlement charge which left her determine to put the fragments of her life back together again. Buckner's desire for penning this book is to ensure that the world never forgets the mayhem committed within our own communities by people who claimed their undying love for us. Buckner is force to cling to the most powerful vestige of her childhood--the wisdom she had been endowed with by her father and her southern community. She was raised by a compassionate father who instilled greatness in her life by examples of his own broken struggles of growing up in the Deep South during slavery. Someone once said, 'home isn't just a place where you live... it's a state of the heart'... However, growing up in the Deep South meant so much more for Buckner. Lake Providence may have held a very small place on the map, but it held a bigger place in her heart and soul – something that she have connected to her entire life. Her community believed in hard work and integrity – most of all having the courage not to give up – not to quit. She was encouraged by her community to pursue an education during a time when no one cared enough to see that black youths had a professional career. On Buckner's fifteenth birthday, her father arranged for her to fly to Las Vegas to visit her mom for the first time in eight years. Later that same year, her father roused with a vision to start a general contractors and plumbing business, despite the fact that he couldn't read or write nor could he add or subtract. Recognizing his limitations, he never minimized the importance of education. Her father instilled in her the value of education and that the mind was too valuable to waste by introducing her to the business world at an early age. He inspired her to see that the greatest equalizer is indoctrinating one's mind with wisdom and knowledge, recognizing that ignorance is the only bridge that separates us. He taught her to set realistic goals, and then work harder than anyone else to experience success as a result of her hard work. He asked her to teach him how to read and write. This moment she would cherish for a lifetime. Buckner was elated to see her father signing his checks - and reading his first book, even though it was on a first-grade level, at the age of 50. Buckner had kept a diary since she was eight years old, and eventually acquired a passion for writing. It provided a natural outlet to help her find that perfect peace in the things that she could not understand nor change. She felt somehow God was preparing her for an unknown journey. Buckner and her family went through five of the most implausible years of their life, orphaned penniless and nearly homeless. Buckner unwavering perseverance forced a victorious triumph in her matter of the heart that was swept up in the chaos of deception, lies and cruel intentions. For over five years, the Institution and CPA Firm attempted to strip her of every shred of her dignity, character and integrity. In a climate of systematic abuse where ignorance is power and justification for wrongdoing, Buckner fights for her improbable survival. Buckner's story will give you hope, and it will confirm the power of faith. Her story will take you through many levels of brokenness – gleaning from her journey will lift you up and help you not only survive but transcend suffering, injustice, and loss. Displaying her extraordinary strength and endurance, Living Beyond Nightfall is a brilliant display of individual resilience.
