Book Changing Children s Lives with Hypnosis

Download or read book Changing Children s Lives with Hypnosis written by Ran D. Anbar and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2021-11-15 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Offers examples of using hypnosis with children to address physical and mental challenges. Changing Children’s Lives with Hypnosis is a timely collection of patients’ healing experiences, the story of how these events changed one physician’s approach to medicine, and the takeaway information parents and practitioners should consider as they deal with medical and psychological challenges in their children’s and patients’ lives. Every year millions of pediatric patients could benefit from hypnosis therapy to deal with and alleviate physical and psychological symptoms big and small. The benefits of hypnosis-facilitated therapy range from complete cures to small improvements. They extend beyond the physical and into the psychological and spiritual, building confidence, positivity and resilience. They include the empowerment of children with chronic health issues to feel more in control of their own minds, bodies and circumstances. They sometimes lead to the reduction or even elimination of medications. Hypnosis is painless, non-invasive, and cost-effective. It doesn’t preclude any other treatment, and drawbacks are virtually nonexistent. In a world where the doctor’s primary role has become more and more one of a technician—pinpoint a problem, prescribe a solution, and move to the next patient—hypnosis brings connection and art back into the process. It relies on a relationship between practitioner and patient, encourages creativity and expression, and allows patients to take ownership of their experience with the support and encouragement of their doctors. Children deserve the opportunity to receive gentle, thoughtful, empowering, and effective treatment in whatever form it’s available. Hypnosis therapy offers all of those things, and it’s time for patients, parents, and medical practitioners to embrace it—even to demand it. Through meaningful stories and expert explanation, this book takes readers through the process of hypnosis for children and its myriad benefits for overall wellness.

Book Reliving Past Lives The Evidence Under Hypnosis

Download or read book Reliving Past Lives The Evidence Under Hypnosis written by Helen Wambach and published by White Crow Books. This book was released on 2021-04-06 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Reliving Past Lives, psychologist Helen Wambach, PhD, shares the fascinating results of her large-scale past-life group hypnotherapy sessions. In an effort to rule out false memory, fantasy and wishful thinking often associated with past life hypnosis, Wambach devised a protocol where she chose time-specific periods from 2000 BC to the twentieth century and asked respondents where they were and what they were doing during that specific period. Race, social class, occupation, types of money used and gender were all explored. Mundane questions were asked such as: "What types of utensils are being used?" "Describe weaving techniques that are being used." "What foodstuffs are commonly in use during this time?" "What color is the brickwork of the houses?" As expected, when taken to a specific period some respondents reported experiences while others reported nothing, prompting the question, did they report nothing because they were between lives? Wambach reasoned that if she asked a large number of subjects questions about a specific time and place and received a sizable percentage of similar answers from subjects who weren't consciously aware of the information they were reporting, that was something worth investigating further. Together with her book, Life before Life, the data is compelling reading for anyone pondering the validity of reincarnation and life beyond physical death.

Book Hypnosis and Treating Depression

Download or read book Hypnosis and Treating Depression written by Michael D. Yapko and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-08-21 with total page 367 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Michael Yapko’s seminal 1992 book, Hypnosis and the Treatment of Depressions, was the first book ever written on the subject of applying hypnosis in the treatment of depressed individuals. Since its publication, Yapko’s work has not only withstood the test of colleagues previously dismissive of the merits of hypnosis as a tool of treatment, but has thrived in the face of it. Hypnosis and Treating Depression diversifies the range of topics to consider and increases the number of knowledgeable contributors on the subject of treating depression with hypnosis. The book features chapter contributions by highly experienced and well-known experts on using hypnosis to treat specific forms of depression, with assessment and intervention strategies as well as sample transcripts of the use of hypnosis in therapy sessions. It discusses both broad and targeted applications of hypnosis in treatment, the treatment of depression with hypnosis in special populations, as well as special considerations regarding hypnotic treatment. As a practical guidebook for clinicians looking to add to their treatment protocols, Hypnosis and Treating Depression: Applications in Clinical Practice provides an updated and comprehensive volume on therapeutic uses of hypnosis in the treatment of depression.

Beyond these insights, Process-Oriented Hypnosis provides highly practical information and specific examples for integrating this innovative perspective into clinical work. The key patterns of human experience are central to the first section of the book, providing a sound conceptual foundation and a wide range of examples. In the second section, Yapko provides ten richly structured hypnosis session transcripts for clinicians to insightfully adapt to their clients’ needs.
