This one was to determine if we would be graduating from the middle school and next year attend high school, or if we would fail and next year repeat the same class. The format of the exam was prepared to be most intimidating. ...The exam was taking place orally! The students were intimidated, indeed were horrifi ed with this new exam style... Seeing so many students scared that deeply around me was multiplying my anxiety unbearably. My mind was racing with so many "what if's" that as soon as I could try to come up with one rational answer for one of these, the mind was coming up with ten more of them. I was next in line, but not yet called. Suddenly something that never happened to me before happened... A feeling of well-being and peacefulness engulfed me. It felt like my mind was not able to deal with the chaos of the day, and that was the reason for the anxiety. Apparently now another capacity within me took over. As soon as it did, there remained no need for fear. This "new boss" would always know what to do in every situation.

For those trying to figure themselves out.. For just everyday problems and worries.. Drown like I did in having to deal with them and cope with them.. But at the end of the day learn how to move on from them.. And never look back again.. So for now, drown yourself in your thoughts and mine.. Relate your life to mine.. Your problems and mine.. Worry about them.. Deal with them.. Figure those feelings out.. Figure out how to make things better for yourself.. Let all that anger out.. Let that hate and sadness fall out.. Let those hidden feelings come out.. Drown yourself in all of that for now.. But in the end, get that strength to find your own way to save yourself.. And no longer drown.. And to finally move on, and finally get out

In this book, he also defends the view that this book itself doesn't exist. But this did not prevent him to write the book, and although in Benovsky's view you don't exist either, this does not prevent you to read it. Benovsky defends a brand of non-exceptionalist eliminativism. Some eliminativists, typically focusing on ordinary material objects such as chairs and hammers, make exceptions, for instance for blue whales (that is, living beings) or for persons (that is, conscious organisms). Benovsky takes one by one all types of allegedly existing objects like chairs, whales, and persons and shows that from the metaphysical point of view they are more trouble than they are worth—we are much better off without them. He thus defends an eliminativist view about ordinary objects as well as the 'no-Self' view, where he explores connections between metaphysics, phenomenology, and Buddhist thought. He then also considers the case of aesthetic objects, focusing on musical works and photographs, and shows that the claim of their non-existence solves the many problems that arise when one tries to find an appropriate ontological category for them, and that such an eliminativist view is more natural than what we might have thought. The arguments provided here are always topic-specific: each type of entity is given its own type of treatment, thus proving a varied and solid foundation for a generalized, non-exceptionalist, full-blown eliminativist worldview.
