Enfin, le livre souligne le dilemme auquel nous sommes confrontés: aucune source d'énergie renouvelable unique connue ne peut compenser ou remplacer efficacement les combustibles fossiles qui font tourner notre monde depuis longtemps et dont chaque être humain dépend directement ou indirectement.
