I've tried my best to gather his memories and thoughts in a collection of short stories depicting his most salient moments. They were events which triggered a profound spiritual change in him and ultimately resulted in a 180-degree reversal in how he lived. Melanoma White was an unwilling subject to existential enlightenment. His belief system was broken down, event by event until he realized who he really was. He spent years searching for reasons to justify conforming with expected white man norms but was challenged in his beliefs every step of the way. In some cases, he struggled to make up new reasons to justify his ill-treatment of others. Life gave him all the answers he needed, with pain, disappointment, and embarrassment. This book contains questions of a restless mind that combatted change until just recently.
