Pero si tus dudas aumentan cuando te preguntan: ¿crees en la felicidad permanente?, quiere decir que ya es tiempo de comenzar a indagar sobre las posibles causas que impiden manifestar en ti el estado de felicidad; es decir, no te enredes tratando de responder si eres feliz o no, mejor opta por identificar los obstáculos que te impiden contestar en automático, tal y como lo haces cuando se te hace la pregunta relacionada con la comida. Si te atreves a buscar dichos obstáculos ¡ya ganaste! Porque por lo menos te planteas la posibilidad de creer y aceptar que la felicidad está en ti, pero no se manifiesta debido a la existencia de obstáculos que deben ser eliminados; si te motivas a detectarlos y a removerlos, observarás que también desaparecen las causas de tu infelicidad y ya no tendrás que esforzarte buscando afuera de ti los motivos de tu desventura. De este mismo modo, empezarás a establecer prioridades en tu propia vida, responsabilizándote de ti mismo y agudizando tu auto-observación para identificar y eliminar de tu interior dichos obstáculos. De eso trata este libro, de motivarte a identificarlos, sugiriéndote técnicas eficaces para removerlos, de tal manera que tu felicidad se exprese clara y nítidamente en el brillo de tus ojos, en tu cara, en tu cuerpo entero y sea manifestada desde el centro de tu corazón hacia todos quienes te rodean.

Book excerpt: The present dissertation has converged the knowledge of three fundamental areas of psychology: cognitive psychology, psychobiology, and psychometrics with the purpose of improving the operational and relational definitions of the broad autism phenotype (BAP) and its measurement process. Especially, it lies essence in psychometrics and its role in reconnecting how people show certain milder autistic behaviours with a theoretical and psychometric model capable of representing an operationalization of the construct in the Spanish and English general populations and developing a new measurement tool. This book is organized into three blocks: in the theoretical framework, we define autism (and BAP) from a dimensional perspective and expose the state of the art in its conceptualization and measurement. We finish by establishing the objectives and the research plan. The second block deepens into the empirical studies conducted during my Ph.D. apprenticeship. The first study presents the Spanish adaptation of the Broad AautismPhenotype Questionnaire (BAPQ), and the second study deepens into the BAPQ psychometric properties from the item response theory (IRT) perspective. In the third study , the ASD and BAP definitions are harmonized, and then a group of experts attempts to reshape the items of the most applied tests to assess BAP into its updated operationalization. The sixth chapter introduces the Broad Autism Phenotype-International Test (BAP-IT), which assesses the BAP two-domain operationalization in two different languages, Spanish and English. Finally, the third block exposes a general discussion of the overall results, draws certain conclusions, states the research limitations, and delineates future research approaches.

Al hacerlo instauraron un nuevo subgnero novelstico: La novela revolucionaria boliviana. El ensayo est enfocado en el anlisis dialctico de dos categoras: Historia y novela. Ofrece referencias conceptuales formuladas por tericos (Karl Marx, Georg Lukcs, Gerald Genette y Robert Jauss) que privilegian una crtica literaria basada en las interconexiones entre el desarrollo social y la cosmovisin que se expresa en las novellas que refl ejan, de uno u otro modo, dicha realidad. El ensayo precisa que la novella boliviana posee la capacidad de tomar de la vida de los trabajadores sus experiencias ms esenciales, y las expresa artsticamente. Siendo lo ms relevante el propsito de ayudarles a convertirse de una clase en s a una clase para s. El mrito del ensayo del Dr. Guido J. Arze es haber sabido demostrar que las novellas revolucionarias bolivianas ayudaron a promover la lucha armada liberadora, usndolas como vehculos de concientizacin, y con ello consagraron un nuevo subgnero: La novella revolucionaria boliviana. Novela que difi ere en cuanto a su funcin de sus semejantes las novelas de la Revolucin Mexicana y de la Revolucin Cubana.

However, if in the past the conflict concerning memories tended to develop inside the borders of countries, it has now leapt into the European arena. This has also led to the confrontation and questioning of the great narratives established in the common memory, especially with countries of the East joining the European Union. Each community, group or nation maintains common memories that do not always fit in or converge with a general overall account. The origins of the UB Solidarity Foundation’s European Observatory on Memories lie in these debates, and through this book — which includes the contributions of specialists in multiple disciplines and the speeches that were given at the first international symposium, “Memory and Power: A Transnational Perspective” — it hopes to present some of the key challenges that this conflict of memories has in store for us in the present and in the future.
