Elle a permis de dégager un profil du dirigeant de PME ouvert au recours au capital boursier comparativement au chef d'entreprise qui écarte d'emblée ce mode de financement. Elle a également mis en évidence les effets de l'inscription à la bourse sur la gestion de l'entreprise : implantation d'un système d'information structuré, administration plus rationnelle et vision à plus long terme. Elle a finalement fait ressortir l'amélioration de la perception de l'entreprise par son environnement : celle-ci jouit d'un nouveau prestige dans les milieux d'affaires et elle attire davantage la confiance des investisseurs, facilitant du même coup son accès aux autres modes de financement.
