Book La femme marocaine en France

Download or read book La femme marocaine en France written by Aïcha Abounai and published by . This book was released on 1996 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: L'OBJET DE CETTE RECHERCHE EST D'ETUDIER L'APPLICATION DU STATUT PERSONNEL MAROCAIN SUR LA FEMME MAROCAINE EN FRANCE, AINSI QUE L'IMPACT DE CETTE APPLICATION SUR LE PROCESSUS D'INTEGRATION. TRENTE CINQ ANNEES APRES SA PROMULGATION, LE MEME CODE CONTINUE A REGLEMENTER LA VIE FAMILIALE AU MAROC. COMPLETEMENT DEPASSE PAR LE VACU SOCIAL, IL EST CONTESTE PAR LES ORGANISATIONS DE FEMMES ET LES FORCES POLITIQUES DE GAUCHE. LES FEMMES MAROCAINES EN FRANCE, VIVENT DANS UN ENVIRONNEMENT SOCIAL DIFFERENT. ELLES RACONTENT LEURS ESPOIRS, LEURS DECEPTIONS, MAIS AUSSI LEURS ATTENTES ET COMMENT ELLES ENVISAGENT L'AVENIR. CE NOUVEL ENVIRONNEMENT SOCIAL REND PLUS COMPLEXES LES PROBLEMES SOULEVES PAR L'APPLICATION DU STATUT PERSONNEL CONFORMEMENT A LA CONVENTION FRANCO-MAROCAINE DU DIX AOUT MILLE NEUF CENTS QUATRE VINTS UN. CE FAIT APPELLE L'INTERVENTION DES TRIBUNAUX FRANCAIS ET DES AUTORITES DIPLOMATIQUES MAROCAINES, QUI REAGISSENT DIFFEREMMENT A CES PROBLEMES. LA FEMME MAROCAINE FAIT APPEL AUSSI BIEN A LA JUSTICE FRANCAISE QU'AUX AUTORITES MAROCAINES. SON CHOIX EST INFLUENCE PAR PLUSIEURS FACTEURS : SON DEGRE DE CONNAISSANCE DU DROIT, SON STATUT FAMILIAL (MERE OU SANS ENFANTS), SON STATUT PROFESSIONNEL (SI ELLE TRAVAILLE OU NON). MAIS SI LA FELLE MAROCAINE S'EST CREE UN ESPACE OU ELLE EVOLUE ET QUI AMORCE SON INTEGRATION, ELLE S'EN TROUVE VITE COUPEE PAR L'APPLICATION DU STATUT PERSONNEL.

Book Returning to Political Parties

Download or read book Returning to Political Parties written by Myriam Catusse and published by Presses de l’Ifpo. This book was released on 2013-02-13 with total page 332 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are Arab parties facing a predicament? Are they paying the price of repression and limited pluralism? Have they become obsolete to the benefit of other political groups and mobilization modes such as communities, tribes, “asabiyyat” or to the disadvantage of non governmental organizations, associations and social movements? While some predicted “the end of parties” in the region as a result of authoritarian political systems, doesn’t the recent transition from the one party rule towards a fragile plural party system in many countries put again party organizations in the spotlight? Most of the time, contemporary Arab parties have little mobilizing power. Yet some are crawling out of underground activities and trying their hands at the exercise of power after years of oppositions. Others, and mainly on the Islamist arena, assert themselves as first hand mobilization structures, able in certain cases to compete with regimes in power. This book addresses those research questions. Emphasizing new and unpublished data, the book’s diverse contributions tackle holistically party life in six countries that have adopted very different political pathways: Yemen, Bahrain, Lebanon, Morocco, Algeria and Iraq. All the studies approach the decline or the revival of the parties from a long term historical perspective mainly with regard to political institutions in those six countries. The studies focus on the rules of party games, on the junction between “the right to politics” and “political rights”. They reveal the fine-tuning between ideological frameworks and political strategies. They raise questions about the renewal of elites, forms of militant activism, the array of parties’ political activities, particularly social ones. They examine the issue of identity construction and political solidarities in the framework of the nation state, or in contradiction with it. As a final point, the book inquires about how party life in those six countries accounts for political transformations: possible democratization of regimes, forms of domination that are played out within those regimes, the emergence of the breakdown of leaderships and finally the rationale behind mobilization and collective action. This book is published with the support of the program on Political Party Development in the Arab World (Algeria, Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco and Yemen) financed by the International Development Research Center (Ottawa, Canada). This publication gathers a series of studies...

This book was released on 2013-11-06 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are universal rights bound to colonialism? Are they culturally imperialistic? By juxtaposing Morocco's practice of torture with its discourse of cultural relativism, this study links popular resistance to universal rights to a deliberate politics that delegitimizes those very same rights, requiring a new, more inclusive system of universalism.

Book The Sociology of Shari a

Download or read book The Sociology of Shari a written by Adam Possamai and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-04-10 with total page 357 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This edited collection focuses on the comparative analysis of the application of Shari’a in countries with Muslim minorities (e.g. USA, Australia, Germany and Italy) and majorities (e.g. Malaysia, Bangladesh, Turkey, and Morocco). Most chapters in this new edition have been revised and the book as a whole has been updated to give even more international coverage. This text provides a sociological and global analysis of a phenomenon that goes beyond the ‘West versus the rest’ dichotomy. One example of this is how included are case studies in Muslim minority countries not exclusively located in the West. Although the contributors of this book come from various disciplines such as law, anthropology, and sociology, this volume has a strong sociological focus on the analysis of Shari’a. The final part of the book indeed draws out from all the case studies explored some ground-breaking theories on the sociology of Shari’a such as the application of Black, Chambliss and Eisenstein’s sociological theories. This text appeals to students and researchers working in the sociology of religion.
