Download or read book La relation formation emploi un d fi pour l conomie written by Jean-Jacques Paul and published by FeniXX. This book was released on 1988-12-31T23:00:00+01:00 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Women and Recession Routledge Revivals

Download or read book Women and Recession Routledge Revivals written by Jill Rubery and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2010-10-18 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Originally published in 1988, this book compiles a collection of works investigating the impact of recession on women's employment. The authors argue that the most important explanation of differences in women's experience between the countries is the form of labour market regulation and organisation. They point out that current changes in these forms of regulation, and not displacement of female labour, pose the main threat to any gains that women have made in the labour market in the post- World War II period.

Book DUALISME DU MARCHE DU TRAVAIL ET SALAIRE D EFFICIENCE

Download or read book DUALISME DU MARCHE DU TRAVAIL ET SALAIRE D EFFICIENCE written by FRANCESCO.. DE PALMA and published by . This book was released on 2000 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CETTE THESE RELEVE, DE MANIERE TRES GENERALE, DE L'ECONOMIE DU TRAVAIL ET S'INTERESSE PLUS PARTICULIEREMENT A L'ETUDE DES DIFFERENTIELS DE SALAIRES. DE MANIERE A ETUDIER LA STRUCTURE DES SALAIRES ET DE L'EMPLOI, NOUS AVONS RETENU DEUX NOUVELLES APPROCHES DU MARCHE DU TRAVAIL : LA THEORIE DU SALAIRE D'EFFICIENCE ET CELLE DE LA SEGMENTATION, OU DU DUALISME, DU MARCHE DU TRAVAIL. CES DEUX DERNIERES PERMETTENT, EN EFFET, DE FONDER THEORIQUEMENT L'EXISTENCE DE DIFFERENTIELS DE SALAIRES AU SEIN D'UNE ECONOMIE DUALE. NOUS AVONS PROPOSE DANS CETTE THESE TROIS CONTRIBUTIONS ORIGINALES EN ETUDIANT LES IMPLICATIONS SUR LA STRUCTURE DES SALAIRES ET DE L'EMPLOI DE DIFFERENTS CHOCS ECONOMIQUES, DANS LE CADRE D'UNE ECONOMIE DUALE, CARACTERISEE PAR L'EXISTENCE D'UN SALAIRE D'EFFICIENCE ET DE TRAVAILLEURSHETEROGENES. LA PREMIERE ETUDE A PROLONGE LE TRAVAIL DE PERROT ET ZYLBERBERG (1989) EN MODIFIANT LA POLITIQUE DE RECRUTEMENT DES ENTREPRISES DANS LE SECTEUR PRIMAIRE. PAR AILLEURS, NOUS AVONS DISTINGUE LES DEUX SECTEURS PAR LES CONDITIONS DE LICENCIEMENT QUI SONT SUPPOSEES PLUS RESTRICTIVES DANS LE PREMIER SECTEUR. CELLES-CI SONT ALORS A L'ORIGINE D'UN DIFFERENTIEL DE SALAIRE INTERSECTORIEL. ON AMONTRE DANS CE CAS, QU'UNE DIMINUTION DES RESTRICTIONS DES CONDITIONS DE LICENCIEMENT DANS LE PREMIER SECTEUR CONDUIT A UNE HAUSSE DU NIVEAU GENERAL DE L'EMPLOI ET ACCENTUE L'ECART SALARIAL. LA DEUXIEME CONTRIBUTION A ANALYSE L'EFFET D'UN PROGRES TECHNOLOGIQUE BIAISE SUR LA STRUCTURE DES SALAIRES ET DE L'EMPLOI, DANS LE CADRE D'UN ECONOMIE DUALE ET EN PRESENCE D'UN SALAIRE D'EFFICIENCE FONDE SUR LES COUTS DE ROTATION DE LA MAIN-D'OEUVRE. ON A MONTRE, QUE LA MODIFICATION DE LA STRUCTURE DES SALAIRES ET DE L'EMPLOI DEPEND, D'UNE PART, DU CHOC TECHNOLOGIQUE BIAISE, ET D'AUTRE PART, DE L'IMPORTANCE DU ROLE DE LA RELATION D'EFFICIENCE. LA DERNIERE CONTRIBUTION A ANALYSE LES EFFETS SUR LA STRUCTURE DE L'EMPLOI ET DES SALAIRES D'UNE POLITIQUE DE DEVALUATION DU TAUX DE CHANGE NOMINAL DANS UNE ECONOMIE MONDIALE COMPOSEE DE DEUX PAYS INTERDEPENDANTS. DANS NOTRE CADRE, ON A MIS EN EVIDENCE QU'UNE TELLE POLITIQUE N'EST PAS A PRESCRIRE, PUISQU'ELLE AGGRAVE LA SITUATION DE L'EMPLOI DANS LES DEUX PAYS.

Book Youth Employment and the Future of Work

Download or read book Youth Employment and the Future of Work written by Council of Europe and published by Council of Europe. This book was released on 2010-01-01 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Young people are particularly vulnerable to fluctuations in economic trends. Youth employment is therefore high on the policy agenda of those concerned with promoting social inclusion. While youth-targeted employment policies tend to combine both demand-side and supply-side approaches, it is important to recognise that traditional notions of "work" have more recently been challenged and reconceptualised. The old assumptions about gender roles, "job security" and "planned careers" have thus been transformed by the profound economic and social changes of recent decades. The essays collected here were developed from papers first delivered at a research seminar on youth employment organised by the partnership between the Council of Europe and the European Commission in the field of youth. They represent a diverse and, at times, provocative collection of analytic snapshots of the position of young people on the European labour market. What emerges is a shared commitment to finding flexible responses to economic globalisation and a concomitant concern for promoting the rights, interests and welfare of young people in both training placement and in the workplace."--P. [4] of cover.

Book Top Incomes in France in the Twentieth Century

Download or read book Top Incomes in France in the Twentieth Century written by Thomas Piketty and published by Harvard University Press. This book was released on 2018-05-07 with total page 805 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A landmark in contemporary social science, this pioneering work by Thomas Piketty explains the facts and dynamics of income inequality in France in the twentieth century. On its publication in French in 2001, it helped launch the international program led by Piketty and others to explore the grand patterns and causes of global inequality—research that has since transformed public debate. Appearing here in English for the first time, this stunning achievement will take its place alongside Capital in the Twenty-First Century as a modern classic of economic analysis. Top Incomes in France in the Twentieth Century is essential in part because of Piketty’s unprecedented efforts to uncover, untangle, and present in clear form data about patterns in tax and inheritance in France dating back to 1900. But it is also an exceptional work of analysis, tracking and explaining with Piketty’s characteristically lucid prose the effects of political conflict, war, and social change on the economic pressures and public policies that determined the lives of millions. A work of unusual intellectual power and ambition, Top Incomes in France in the Twentieth Century is a vital resource for anyone concerned with the economic, political, and social history of France, and it is central to ongoing debates about social justice, inequality, taxation, and the evolution of capitalism around the world.

Book excerpt: Why is it that French chefs tend to develop a syndrome of professional nostalgia? Educated to work in the most prestigious restaurants, they soon discover another reality in common foodservices and are viewed as having made an egotistical professional choice. Regardless of the improvement in their working conditions, their identity is distorted. This book describes foodservices as a whole, including international and inter-industry comparisons in the sociological field of gastronomical professionals, in an attempt to analyze their identities in different stages and diversities.

Book Industrial economics The role of Renault Automobile

Download or read book Industrial economics The role of Renault Automobile written by Isabel Lausanne Fontgalland and published by Seven Editora. This book was released on with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To create prodution and market, industrial companies are required to perform support functions (such as finance, quality, training, etc.). With the evolution of technology and the emergence of a new company profile, certain reflections have emerged, on the one hand, on a new knowledge that will have to be mastered, and on the other hand, on the probable evolution of qualifications. The technological advances so often evoked as accelerated changes in the means of production have caused both the disappearance and appearance of a large number of trades as well as the internal transformation of some. This adds comes to the debate on the extent of organizational changes and the emergence of one or more new flexible organizational models. In this manuscript, we are interested in show the repercussions of the flexible (re)organization of production and its contents regarding of in-locus training [...]

Book Social Security Tax Reform and Unemployment

Download or read book Social Security Tax Reform and Unemployment written by International Monetary Fund and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 1997-05-01 with total page 30 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This paper develops and calibrates a simple general equilibrium model with two types of labor and capital for the French economy. The simulation results indicate that targeted reductions in employer social security taxes have six times as large an effect on employment as untargeted reductions for equal initial budgetary cost, while employee social security tax reductions have a negative effect on employment. They also point to the presence of “self-financing,” whereby reductions in various tax rates lead to lower budget deficits in the long run, as a result of an expanding tax base and lower unemployment insurance outlays.1
