Book L Islam pour les profs

Download or read book L Islam pour les profs written by Roger Foehrlé and published by KARTHALA Editions. This book was released on 1992-01-01 with total page 252 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Les questions que se posent les jeunes sur l Islam written by Hicham Abdel Gawad and published by La Boîte à Pandore. This book was released on 2017-03-07 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Islam et la cit vus par des lyc ens written by Abdulrahman Khallouf and published by Editions L'Harmattan. This book was released on 2022-02-23 with total page 123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Exploring Context in Religious Education Research

Download or read book Exploring Context in Religious Education Research written by Geir Skeie and published by Waxmann Verlag. This book was released on 2013 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The relevance of contextual perspectives in religious education has been growing for the last decade. It has been central to the European Network for Religious Education through Contextual Approaches (ENRECA) - the research network that has produced the present book. Several members of the network have contributed to the theoretical and empirical development of contextual approaches in different publications, but for the first time this has been the focus of an entire collectively produced volume. The history of the book dates back to research seminars in 2009 and 2010 and is based on the discussions in the seminar. The chapters have been developed through a process of critical examination. Through this process we believe to have produced a coherent and also comprehensively rich book, dealing with the issue of context as a challenge, and also a stimulus to religious education research and practice. The chapters are presenting both empirical research and scholarly investigation into methodological and theoretical dimensions. Taken together we hope that this book will contribute to the further development of contextual thinking in religious education research. Or aim has not been to answer all questions, but rather to pose questions and to complicate things in order to enrich the academic field of religion in education.

Book Translation as Intercultural Communication

Download or read book Translation as Intercultural Communication written by Mary Snell-Hornby and published by John Benjamins Publishing. This book was released on 1997-01-01 with total page 368 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This selection of 30 contributions (3 workshop reports, 27 papers from 14 countries) concentrates on intercultural communication in its broadest sense: themes vary from dissident translation under the Marcos dictatorship in the Philippines and translation as a process of power in the 3rd world context to drama translation and the role of the cognitive sciences in translation theory. Topics of current interest such as media interpreting, news translation, advertising, subtitling and the ethics of translation have a prominent position, as does the Workshop 'Contact as Conflict' which discusses the phenomenon of the hybrid text as a result of the translation process. The volume closes with the EST Focus debate on thorny issues of Methodology, Policy and Training. The volume demonstrates clearly the richness and breadth of the topics dealt with in Translation Studies today along with its complex interaction with neighbouring disciplines.

Download or read book Europe s Angry Muslims written by Robert S. Leiken and published by OUP USA. This book was released on 2012-03-29 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Bombings in London, riots in Paris, terrorists in Germany, fury over mosques, veils and cartoons--such headlines underscore the tensions between Muslims and their European hosts. Did too much immigration, or too little integration, produce Muslim second-generation anger? Is that rage imported or spawned inside Europe itself? What do the conflicts between Muslims and their European hosts portend for an America encountering its own angry Muslims?Europe's Angry Muslims traces the routes, expectations and destinies of immigrant parents and the plight of their children, transporting both the general reader and specialist from immigrants' ancestral villages to their strange new-fangled enclaves in Europe. It guides readers through Islamic nomenclature, chronicles the motive force of the Islamist narrative, offers them lively portraits of jihadists (a convict, a convert, and a community organizer) takes them inside radical mosques and into the minds of suicide bombers. The author interviews former radicals and security agents, examines court records and the sermons of radical imams and draws on a lifetime of personal experience with militant movements to present an account of the explosive fusion of Muslim immigration, Islamist grievance and second-generation alienation.Robert Leiken shines an unsentimental and yet compassionate light on Islam's growing presence in the West, combining in-depth reporting with cutting-edge and far-ranging scholarship in an engaging narrative that is both moving and mordant. Leiken's nuanced and authoritative analysis--historical, sociological, theological and anthropological--warns that "conflating rioters and Islamists, folk and fundamentalist Muslims, pietists and jihadis, immigrants and their children is the method of strategic incoherence--'in the night all cats are black.'"
