Book LA FIN DE L TUDIANT TRANGER

Download or read book LA FIN DE L TUDIANT TRANGER written by Serge Slama and published by Editions L'Harmattan. This book was released on 1999-11-01 with total page 321 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book International Students in French Universities and Grandes coles A Comparative Study

Download or read book International Students in French Universities and Grandes coles A Comparative Study written by Cui Bian and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-08-22 with total page 275 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book mainly investigates the challenges that confront France’s unique dual system of higher education in facing internationalization and the recruitment of international students. This book focuses on the development of the institutional strategies in two groups of higher education institutions: University and Grande École in responding to the opportunities and stresses of both Europe’s Bologna process and globalization. The research data presents in this book was collected from four local institutions, two Grandes Écoles and two universities, one of each focusing on the social sciences and the other on natural sciences and technology. Interviews with major stakeholders in the institutions, including personnel from international offices, faculty/researchers and international students were adopted as principal methods for data collection. The thematic organization of the findings in each chapter covers views from three levels of stakeholders’ and interprets the results within theoretical frames, such as institutional theories, world-system theory, international academic relationship theory and branding theory. Readers will find this book both practical and innovative in four key ways. Firstly, in knowledge diffusion, revealing the mysterious veil of the unique French dual higher education system. Secondly, in new knowledge production, exploring a new subject of research and filling the blanks from previous studies of the two groups of institutions. Thirdly, in presenting new interesting sights into current reforms in Frances’s higher education and how far principles of path dependency will ensure strong continuities with the past as against a tendency to homogenization in response to pressures from Europeanization and global ranking systems. Finally, in exploring the dimension of interculturality and the interplay between researcher’s identity and research process.

Book Etudiants d ailleurs

Download or read book Etudiants d ailleurs written by Caroline Barrera and published by Institut fédératif de recherche. This book was released on 2007 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: Zusammenfassung: This book investigates European higher education internationalisation policies during a period marked by extreme upheaval due to Brexit and the COVID-19 pandemic. Situating her analysis at the intersection of higher education research and policy studies, the author combines historical and sociological institutionalism to investigate how this time of disruption impacted higher education policies in England, France and Germany. Based on extensive qualitative data derived from expert interviews and document analysis, the study offers timely insights into dynamics of institutional change and stability in higher education governance, as well as implications for the future of cross-border education and internationalisation. Book Competing for Global Talent

Download or read book Competing for Global Talent written by International Labour Office and published by International Labour Organization. This book was released on 2006 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Global talent has never been more mobile or sought after. A complex phenomenon that takes many forms, the movement of people with skills includes migrants crossing borders for temporary stays abroad as well as settlement, students moving for degrees and temporary and permanent stays, and even tourists and refugees who decide to stay abroad and use their skills. Countries attracting global talent increase their stock of human and technological skills, and in the past decade many have welcomed foreign professionals and students to redress domestic skill shortages and to quicken economic growth. This book includes general and theoretical papers on skilled migration and also papers on the country experiences of Australia, India, Japan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It addresses the socio-economic and cultural challenges created by increased mobility in a world where globalizing and localizing forces are at work simultaneously

Download or read book L accueil des tudiants trangers entre attraction et contr le written by Mariana Losada and published by . This book was released on 2010 with total page 608 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
