Toutefois, cette communauté d’accueil est caractérisée par une incomplétude institutionnelle pluridimensionnelle en matière d’immigration. En conséquence, les mondes d’immigrants qui s’y établissent font face à des obstacles et à de la discrimination dans leur parcours d’accès à des emplois de qualité. Par ailleurs, l’arrivée de nouveaux locuteurs francophones constitue une épreuve pour une Acadie qui peine à se redéfinir comme une véritable communauté d’accueil et à assurer sa transition d’une nation ethnique à une nation contractuelle inclusive de la diversité. La saisie du parcours d’intégration des immigrants et de l’attitude schizophrénique de leur communauté d’accueil a été réalisée grâce à l’utilisation d’une méthodologie qualitative combinant des entrevues et des groupes de discussion.
