Book excerpt: Islamic terrorists loyal to Hezbollah have plotted to detonate a thermonuclear IED (improvised explosive device) in New York City. With God’s grace, the CIA acted as liaison with SOCOM (Special Operations Command) in a highly classified, Super Secret, clandestine operation, code-named Wrath of God. The land of milk and honey is under siege by genocidal Islamic combatants. The threat to humanity must be terminated under the most supreme law—the divine decree of God’s law. Judah’s Justice sheds a very bright light upon a very dark path that our courageous counterterrorism operatives must tread. You’ll be deeply shaken, inspired, and motivated to respect and honor the sacred men and women of the CIA Directorate of Operations, Clandestine Service. Without their sacrifices in the face of existing dangers, America would be under martial law; our civil liberties and freedoms lost. Life in America would be anarchy. The true colors of our star-spangled banner would no longer shine. Judah’s Justice is the stage for the NWOD (New World Order Decree) endorsed by the United Nations Security Council.

Book Jewish Self Defense in South America

Download or read book Jewish Self Defense in South America written by Raanan Rein and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2022-08-26 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jewish Self-Defense in South America charts the ways in which Jewish youth in Argentina and Uruguay organized self-defense groups in the wake of an anti-Semitic wave that swept the Southern Cone in the 1960s. The kidnapping of Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann in Buenos Aires in 1960 and his trial and execution in Israel in 1962, as well as the assassination of the Latvian war criminal Herberts Cukurs in Montevideo in 1965, provoked violent attacks by right-wing nationalist organizations against Jewish lives and property. Thousands of Jews decided to teach the anti-Semitic bullies a lesson and make it very clear that shedding Jewish blood would not go unpunished, that Jews were no longer passive victims. The central role that the State of Israel and its envoys played in organizing, instructing, and training self-defense activists highlights the special ties between Israel and the Jewish Diaspora. Based on more than 120 interviews with former activists of self-defense, ex-Mossad officers and veteran Israeli diplomats, as well as on archival research, this is a pioneering study on ethnicity and diaspora in a time of growing political violence in South America. This book is a valuable study for scholars and students researching Jewish history and Latin American history.

  • Author : Moshe Katz
  • Publisher : CreateSpace
  • Release : 2015-08-16
  • ISBN : 9781516826834
  • Pages : 392 pages

Download or read book Israel a Nation of Warriors written by Moshe Katz and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2015-08-16 with total page 392 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With the establishment of the modern State of Israel in 1948, the world saw a new Jew arise from the ashes of the Holocaust and from millennia of persecution in Arab and Christian lands. From the four corners of the earth, the Jewish people, the nation of Israel, returned home. The "dry bones" came to life creating a democratic state and a powerful military. But, this was not a new Jew at all-it was just the old Jew getting up from the ruins of his destroyed life in the exile, dusting himself off, and returning home. Much has been written about Jewish history, but rarely has the "fighting history" of the Jewish people been told. Known as the "people of the Book," few know the age-old fighting spirit of this nation. From the first Hebrew warrior to the Israel Defense Forces of today, Moshe Katz traces the fighting heritage and history of the Hebrew warrior. He examines the modern Israeli close quarter combat system, Krav Maga, analyzes its components and attributes, and the reasons it is sought after by security forces worldwide. "Israel, A Nation of Warriors" takes a look at the Israeli society that produced a military force, a security system, and everyday civilian/warrior heroes that have amazed the world. Moshe Katz is a high ranking Krav Maga instructor and founder of Israeli Krav International (IKI). He is a graduate of UCLA, Bernard Baruch College, and Wingate Institute. In addition, he spent many years in yeshivoth (Rabbinical colleges). He brings his knowledge of Jewish history, martial arts training, and lifelong experience of living in Israel to form this unique book. Moshe lives in Maaleh Adumim, Israel, and conducts Krav Maga seminars throughout the world.

Book Emergency

  • Author : Neil Strauss
  • Publisher : Harper Collins
  • Release : 2009-03-10
  • ISBN : 0060898771
  • Pages : 436 pages

Download or read book Emergency written by Neil Strauss and published by Harper Collins. This book was released on 2009-03-10 with total page 436 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Terrorist attacks. Natural disasters. Domestic crackdowns. Economic collapse. Riots. Wars. Disease. Starvation. What can you do when it all hits the fan? You can learn to be self-sufficient and survive without the system. **I've started to look at the world through apocalypse eyes.** So begins Neil Strauss's harrowing new book: his first full-length worksince the international bestseller The Game, and one of the most original-and provocative-narratives of the year. After the last few years of violence and terror, of ethnic and religious hatred, of tsunamis and hurricanes–and now of world financial meltdown–Strauss, like most of his generation, came to the sobering realization that, even in America, anything can happen. But rather than watch helplessly, he decided to do something about it. And so he spent three years traveling through a country that's lost its sense of safety, equipping himself with the tools necessary to save himself and his loved ones from an uncertain future. With the same quick wit and eye for cultural trends that marked The Game, The Dirt, and How to Make Love Like a Porn Star, Emergency traces Neil's white-knuckled journey through today's heart of darkness, as he sets out to move his life offshore, test his skills in the wild, and remake himself as a gun-toting, plane-flying, government-defying survivor. It's a tale of paranoid fantasies and crippling doubts, of shady lawyers and dangerous cult leaders, of billionaire gun nuts and survivalist superheroes, of weirdos, heroes, and ordinary citizens going off the grid. It's one man's story of a dangerous world–and how to stay alive in it. Before the next disaster strikes, you're going to want to read this book. And you'll want to do everything it suggests. Because tomorrow doesn't come with a guarantee...

Book Without the State

    Book Details:
  • Author : Emily Channell-Justice
  • Publisher : University of Toronto Press
  • Release : 2022-10-03
  • ISBN : 1487509766
  • Pages : 244 pages

Download or read book Without the State written by Emily Channell-Justice and published by University of Toronto Press. This book was released on 2022-10-03 with total page 244 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Without the State explores the 2013–14 Euromaidan protests – a wave of demonstrations and civil unrest in Ukraine – through in-depth ethnographic research with leftist, feminist, and student activists in Kyiv. The book discusses the concept of "self-organization" and the notion that if something needs to be done and a person has the competence to do it, then they should simply do it. Emily Channell-Justice reveals how self-organization in Ukraine came out of leftist practices but actors from across the spectrum of political views also adopted self-organization over the course of Euromaidan, including far-right groups. The widespread adoption of self-organization encouraged Ukrainians to rethink their expectations of the relationship between citizens and their state. The book explains how self-organized practices have changed people’s views on what they think they can contribute to their own communities, and in the wake of Russia’s renewed invasion of Ukraine in 2022, it has also motivated new networks of mutual aid within Ukraine and beyond. Based on ethnographic fieldwork, including the author’s first-hand experience of the entirety of the Euromaidan protests, Without the State provides a unique analytical account of this crucial moment in Ukraine’s post-Soviet history.

Book Sports Related Concussions in Youth

Download or read book Sports Related Concussions in Youth written by National Research Council and published by National Academies Press. This book was released on 2014-02-04 with total page 215 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the past decade, few subjects at the intersection of medicine and sports have generated as much public interest as sports-related concussions - especially among youth. Despite growing awareness of sports-related concussions and campaigns to educate athletes, coaches, physicians, and parents of young athletes about concussion recognition and management, confusion and controversy persist in many areas. Currently, diagnosis is based primarily on the symptoms reported by the individual rather than on objective diagnostic markers, and there is little empirical evidence for the optimal degree and duration of physical rest needed to promote recovery or the best timing and approach for returning to full physical activity. Sports-Related Concussions in Youth: Improving the Science, Changing the Culture reviews the science of sports-related concussions in youth from elementary school through young adulthood, as well as in military personnel and their dependents. This report recommends actions that can be taken by a range of audiences - including research funding agencies, legislatures, state and school superintendents and athletic directors, military organizations, and equipment manufacturers, as well as youth who participate in sports and their parents - to improve what is known about concussions and to reduce their occurrence. Sports-Related Concussions in Youth finds that while some studies provide useful information, much remains unknown about the extent of concussions in youth; how to diagnose, manage, and prevent concussions; and the short- and long-term consequences of concussions as well as repetitive head impacts that do not result in concussion symptoms. The culture of sports negatively influences athletes' self-reporting of concussion symptoms and their adherence to return-to-play guidance. Athletes, their teammates, and, in some cases, coaches and parents may not fully appreciate the health threats posed by concussions. Similarly, military recruits are immersed in a culture that includes devotion to duty and service before self, and the critical nature of concussions may often go unheeded. According to Sports-Related Concussions in Youth, if the youth sports community can adopt the belief that concussions are serious injuries and emphasize care for players with concussions until they are fully recovered, then the culture in which these athletes perform and compete will become much safer. Improving understanding of the extent, causes, effects, and prevention of sports-related concussions is vitally important for the health and well-being of youth athletes. The findings and recommendations in this report set a direction for research to reach this goal.

Book The Tyranny of Silence

Download or read book The Tyranny of Silence written by Flemming Rose and published by Cato Institute. This book was released on 2016-05-10 with total page 264 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Journalists face constant intimidation. Whether it takes the extreme form of beheadings, death threats, government censorship or simply political correctness—it casts a shadow over their ability to tell a story. When the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten published the cartoons of the prophet Muhammad nine years ago, Denmark found itself at the center of a global battle about the freedom of speech. The paper's culture editor, Flemming Rose, defended the decision to print the 12 drawings, and he quickly came to play a central part in the debate about the limitations to freedom of speech in the 21st century. In The Tyranny of Silence, Flemming Rose writes about the people and experiences that have influenced his understanding of the crisis, including meetings with dissidents from the former Soviet Union and ex-Muslims living in Europe. He provides a personal account of an event that has shaped the debate about what it means to be a citizen in a democracy and how to coexist in a world that is increasingly multicultural, multireligious, and multiethnic.
