Caldentey and published by . This book was released on 2007 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 2007, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF & G) operated eight fish counting weirs in the Kodiak Management Area (KMA). Operation of these weirs began in mid-May and continued through September for some weirs. Operation dates of each weir varied depending upon the run timing of salmon populations in each system. Chinook salmon O. tshawytscha, sockeye salmon Oncorhynchus nerka, coho salmon O. kisutch, pink salmon O. gorbuscha, chum salmon O. keta, steelhead O. mykiss, and Dolly Varden Salvelinus malma were individually counted by field crews using hand-held tally-counters. These escapement data provided the basis for in-season management actions regulating the commercial, sport, and subsistence fisheries in the KMA. This report contains all KMA weir escapement counts that occurred in 2007 and provides total weir escapements for 2007 and the each of the previous nine years for each system. This report contains data only; discussion and analysis are not included in this document.
