Book In The Days of These Kings The Book of Daniel in Preterist Perspective

Download or read book In The Days of These Kings The Book of Daniel in Preterist Perspective written by Jay Rogers and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2019-01-17 with total page 742 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever" (Daniel 2:44). The message of Daniel is that Jesus the Messiah is now ruling over the nations. Daniel tells us that Messiah's kingdom will advance in the whole world from "generation to generation" (Daniel 4:4,34). Christ's dominion is "given to the people of the saints of the most High" (Daniel 7:22). Our purpose then is to see "all people, nations, and languages serve and obey him" (Daniel 7:14,27). "This meticulously researched and thorough treatment of Daniel from a preterist perspective includes over 700 pages of commentary, historical background and setting, New Testament allusions, and much more. It is enhanced with charts, tables, maps, illustrations, and topped off with helpful, thorough indexes." - Kenneth L. Gentry, Jr., Th.D.

Some references to it have been positive, some negative. It appears to be important, and they'd like to know more about it. But they want a full, understandable explanation, not a simplistic one. What Is Reformed Theology? is an accessible introduction to beliefs that have been immensely influential in the evangelical church. In this insightful book, R. C. Sproul explains the five points of Reformed theology and makes plain the reality of God's amazing grace.

Book Kings Country and Constitutions

Download or read book Kings Country and Constitutions written by Kobkua Suwannathat-Pian and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-12-16 with total page 304 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Provides a detailed analysis of Thailand's political development since 1932, when Thailand became a constitutional monarchy, until the present. It examines the large number of different versions of the constitution which Thailand has had since 1932, and explains why the constitution has been subject to such frequent change, and why there have been so many outbursts of violent, political unrest. It explores the role of the military, and, most importantly, discusses the role of the monarchy, which, as the author shows, has been crucial in holding Thailand together through the various changes of regime. • Author : Adam Zamoyski
  • Publisher : Hachette UK
  • Release : 2020-03-19

Download or read book The Last King Of Poland written by Adam Zamoyski and published by Hachette UK. This book was released on 2020-03-19 with total page 343 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A superb study of one of the most important, romantic and dynamic figures of European history. 'A fine book ... the web of political intrigue unfolds like an appetising detective novel' Scotsman The last king of Poland owed his throne largely to his youthful romance with the future Catherine the Great of Russia. But Stanislaw Augustus was nobody's pawn. He was an ambitious, highly intelligent and complex character, a dashing figure in the finest eighteenth-century tradition. A great believer in art and education, he spent fortunes on cultural projects, and finding that he was blocked politically by Catherine, he put his energies into a programme of social and artistic regeneration. He transformed the mood of his country and brought it to a new phase of reform and independence. Poland's neighbours, however, viewed this beacon of liberty in their midst with alarm, and as they invaded and partitioned it, Stanislaw saw the destruction of his life's work, and ultimately was forced to abdicate, a broken man, deceived and disillusioned.

Book The Euro At Ten

Download or read book The Euro At Ten written by Jean Pisani-Ferry and published by Columbia University Press. This book was released on 2009-06-15 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over the first ten years of its existence, the euro has proved to be more than a powerful symbol of collective identity. It has provided price stability to previously inflation-prone countries; it has offered a shelter against currency crises; and it has by and large been conducive to budgetary discipline. The eurozone has attracted five new members in addition to the initial eleven, and many countries in Europe wish to adopt it. The euro has also been successful internationally. Even though research presented in this volume confirms that it has not rivaled the dollar's world currency status, it has certainly become a strong regional currency in Europe and the Mediterranean region. Some countries in the region have de facto adopted it, several peg to it, and many have become at least partially euroized. However, the euro's impressive first decade is likely to be followed by a much more difficult period. The present financial crisis is posing at least two important challenges: real economic adjustment within the euro area and maintenance of fiscal and financial stability without a central government authority capable of taking appropriate financial and fiscal decisions in difficult times. The papers and remarks in this volume demonstrate that the euro has proved to be attractive as a fair weather currency for countries and investors well beyond its borders. But it remains to be seen whether it is equipped to also succeed as a stormy weather currency.

Book excerpt: Our families have feuded for years, but when I get myself hurt during a winter storm, Dawson King rides in like a cowboy Prince Charming and tucks me into his bed until I get better. It’s suddenly hard to remember why I don’t like him. From Marie Johnston comes an enemies to lovers, small town romance. Dawson King’s mom died because of my dad’s poor decisions, and ever since, I’ve been at the bottom of the King Ranch manure pile. Years later, our circumstances couldn’t be more different. I’m left running my decrepit ranch, and he’s right next door, in his big house, with his fat and happy cattle, and he sneaks treats to my horse. Everyone in town loves him while hating me is their favorite game. Yet when I get hurt in the middle of a snow storm, he’s the only one there to help me. When I’m recovering at his place, he takes care of me, and I start to forget the resentment between us and remember the friendship we had as kids. He treats me like he sees beyond my caustic personality and the high emotional barriers I’ve erected thanks to my rough upbringing. What I don’t know is that he’s hiding a secret that gives him millions of reasons behind his motivation to get close to me. The clock is ticking for Dawson and his generous trust fund, and if I don’t succumb to his intoxicating charm, I’ll end up back in the hovel I came from with a broken heart. But if I fall hard, I’m not sure if he’ll have a reason to be there to catch me. King's Country is a standalone novel in the Oil Kings series.
