Dr. Deb thoughtfully structured the prompts in a way that allows the reader to meditate on scriptures each week of the year, while being able to pour out their personal thoughts and prayers as they are led or as the Lord illuminates their understanding. My favorite part of the journal is that it encourages parents and/or trusted adults to go on this journey with the teen by being able to write encouragement to the teen for each journal prompt. This not only encourages spiritual, emotional, and social growth and development but it also strengthens the teen's awareness of their support system - a balance that is sorely needed in the adolescent stage of development.
